Semi-retired might be the best way to describe it?? The Echoes column will no longer run as a regular column in CB but we do hope that Guy continues to contribute feature articles from time to time. One of the great historians in our sport, I have known Guy for more than 30 years dating back to when he was the bluetick representative on the Purina Committee. I have much respect for all that Guy has done to give back to our sport. I would call Guy a "hard boot" in that he truly lived everything he wrote about and is the real deal when it comes to a houndsman.

I hope everyone joins me in wishing Guy the best and thanking him for the entertaining column all these years.

I've read his articles for nearly thirty years. His articles were always my personal favorites in the magazines.

I've always loved Guy's articles. It would be neat, and probably a good seller, if all of Guy's articles were put into book form. It would be a great volume of hound history!

Guy's article was the first article I would read in my monthly coonhound bloodlines. I also ordered his guide to breeding better dogs and read it. Great writer.
