If I may, I don't think most coon hunters in Michigan truly understand the importance that the Michigan Sate Hunt plays in our great state.

The Michigan State Hunt is a sponsored hunt by the Michigan State United Coon Hunters Association. Our state hunt was started as a means to raise funds to protect our sport of coon hunting in Michigan by being a voice for all the local coon clubs in the state. Unfortunately, the last several years everyone knows how hunt attendance has fallen off.

I would like to make a request that anyone who thought of maybe I will go this year to make the commitment and load up that hound this afternoon. Join us in Lakeville supporting the MSUCHA and the Lakeville club.

Our nation was founded on the ideal that individually we can put ourselves at risk, but together we can be a force to be reckoned with. This same ideal applies to us coon hunters. Come out today, tomorrow, and support all our fellow coon hunters.
