I have an English Shepherd born December 11, 2016. I was one of the last buyers of a litter of 12. The breeder, who is reputable, said she was getting names and registering all the pups in May, but still no registration papers.
Can this process be sped up or an I at the mercy of one owner who has not given a name? Can't the breeder use a temporary name based on her "birth" names given to the pups? Update later?

The breeder can register the litter without any names. We would send her a temporary paper for each pup in the litter and she can sign that paper over to you so you can fill it out and send it in to us to establish permanent registration.

Ok, I hope she knows this and can get my papers to me. What is the cost to register a pup UKC for the owner?

If the pup is under a year of age the minimum fee would be $24.00.
