This is a proven cross: DRIFTER x LIZZY... This is the cross that produced Gunner, Lizz, Trixie & Mrs. Kay. Lizzy started treeing coons by herself at 5 months old, she was a complete NATURAL and so are her pups. Drifter & Lizzy are my personal favorite dogs, since I lost Drifter recently this makes this cross even more SPECIAL. Courtney,

I just wanted to let you know about Miss Kay (Drifter X Lizzy) and give you a update on her. I had decided to start her at a little later in age (10 months old at this time) and take things slow with her. She has run loose alot here on the family farm, been shown one live coon, and shown five dead coons that other dogs had killed on hunts that i brought home.

Tonight was her second night she has ever been hunting. I took her by herself tonight. I turned her loose on a creek in the woods behind a irrigation pond. She opened four times on the ground was quiet for a just little bit opened twice more on the ground, then fell treed on a big Yellow Poplar tree and had a very large coon up the tree.

I could not have been any happier at that moment. I feel very blessed. Second time in the woods and she ran & treed her own coon all by herself. She poured her heart into treeing. She was treeing very hard and steady.

The future looks bright and i can't wait to get her in the woods again. I will keep you posted on how she is doing.

I just want to thank all of you who are or will soon be hunting DRIFTER pups. Thanks for keeping DRIFTER's legacy as a REPRODUCER alive.

Congrats to Daryl Reiter and Buster. Daryl placed Buster in his very first UKC hunt last weekend. Daryl said Buster had not been hunted in two months and still acted mature for a 1 year old pup and was independent as well. Super job Daryl!!!
