Why in creation when you confirm entry and you get your cast number do they make you wait until 4pm to tell you where your going to hunt at? I have never understood this. Would be so nice to not have to stand around for several hours waiting when you can plan the rest of your day at the Oaks after you confirm your entry by 1pm to either go take a nap, shop around the fairgrounds, head out early and go to your satellite club early ect. Can someone help me understand the thinking of keeping everyone until 4pm?

IMO. It takes a while to draw approximately 300 dogs into casts. Then confirm guides from satellite clubs and on grounds, then make sure each club gets there number of casts. Put directions to each cast. Then getting everyone in there to let them know where they are going. If you confirm at 1:00.. go shop till 4:00... nap till 4:00... Odds are you ain't leaving for a couple hours anyway. Then do whatever. I have even seen satellite clubs not have food. I have seen local clubs hold an event of 100 dogs and take 45 minutes. I think they do very well.
