GRNITECH. Skuna River Babe

I have a female out of Fred and she's one of the best I own. Split tree specialest that tree's coon after coon and she's a loud hard tree dog. Fred was a great reproducer and will be missed.

ones i have hunted with are loud and extra nice tree dogs,, pressure tree dogs at that...

i have hunted with several and own one myself, i would say biggest fault in mine is he is 3rd strike dogs in hunts all the time, which that is only considered a fault by some. and with a treeeedog can come some empties but isnt bad with it.

all in all nice dogs, you put mine in coon he can shame you severly,,,, which is the case with alot of dogs i guess, but i like him, he loud , quick and action packed

I've owned two out of Fred, the first one I owned was a heads up, looking for a tree action packed hound about 70% accurate. The one I currently own is more of a trailing type hound, takes his tracks as he comes to them and about 90% accurate. Both hounds have good mouths the first one I owned was a slobber mouth intense tree dog. The one I have now is a nice tree dog, not as flashy as the first but much more accurate. Both hounds hunt real well by themselves and are pretty much the same hounds night in and out. Here's a couple pic's and video:

I have a 14 month old male off of a son of Bad Habit and a female that was directly off of Fred. He's been a natural tree dog from a very young age, and seems like he will be able to hold pressure well. He's showing a lot of potential in the woods with VERY limited time out. I made the mistake of raising him in the house, so he's my little buddy...I'll admit I'm MUCH more cautious with him than any of my other hounds. Took him out with my older female over the weekend (first time out since early summer) and he didn't run with her a bit. Took off deep and did his own thing. Checked a few trees and turned down a sight deer race that my BROKE female decided she wanted to try her hand at, so I was happy with him even though he didn't actually tree. I speak regularly with a gentleman that owns my pup's littermate sister, and she's ready to be started in the hunts. From what I hear she's turning out to be a fine hound. I'd certainly own another Fred dog or two...

Hard hunting, independent, loud, get treed dogs. One's I've seen straddle a track and open good. Locate several times, and don't budge. I hunt one every night, and wouldn't take anything in the world for him.

one thing i like from mine is you put him in a woods with 4 coon sittin up he will trail the first one and put it up,, when you turn him off that its like he has a map in his head and knows exactly where the others are like he already marked them and will pick every one of those coon off, normally he doesnt say anything when he does that, but i absolutely love it in a hunt because he opens with a locate and you can pretty well say "bear struck and treed"

here a pic and video of him

The ones I've hunted with all seemed to be good tree dogs.... and split tree specialists.

Here's my Waylon on his first turned loose coon. This was the first time he'd been out since the trip I mentioned before, and his first time in contact with a coon, alive or dead, since last year. I had a feeling he would have no trouble tracking and treeing it. He didn't disappoint-I didn't even have to get my old girl out of the box to help him. The vet diagnosed him with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever last fall, and I've noticed he gets tired much more quickly than he used to. That didn't keep him from staying at the tree, even with another green dog running around and playing nearby. I really like his tree style so far...a lot of times he'll be on the wood like in this picture, but he'll also sit down and tree as well.

don't know how my reply got squeezed in like that, sorry , anyway my fred dog has that memory card in his head too. I have lost count how many times he has gone back in and treed another one 50 ft away from the first. I have transported him up to half mile and had him go back and tree a different one.

I don't have a Fred dog, but do have a Bark female. That line is known for tracking ability. Good split tree tree dogs too. Mine lives up to that most of the time. She can work a cold track well, as I think most of the Lipper / Skuna River lines does.

They are also usually 2nd or 3rd strike dogs....mine is that usually too. They are often a little quieter on track, but open good enough. Again...mine is that, although the more I hunt her, the more she opens.

Most are good looking dogs, although looks don't tree coons!

The good ones are loud action packed smart accurate split tree specialist, that can tree every breath.

The bad ones miss a lot and can stand on there head.

My buddy has a dog outta mojo and his mommas outta fred.. Hes the type of dog that you cant lay up for a cpl wks then decide to go to hunt.. But when hes hunted hard, is when he shines the best, doesnt need a leash and will split an stay split.. One of the hardest and loudest treedogs ive heard..
