youth hunt on Indiana's Salamonie Reservoir


Below is the info on the 2010 youth Rabbit and Squirrel hunt at Indiana's Salamonie Reservoir. We sorely need folks to volunteer to help in about all areas. Mentors, Dog handlers, and in the Kitchen. Call me at the number given in flyer below. and feel free to cross post and/or copy and hand out the flyer to others.

Rabbit and Squirrel



Indiana Beagler's Alliance announces the date for the 2010 youth Rabbit and Squirrel hunt.



Where: Salamonie Reservoir

When: Saturday October 30,2010

Ages: 11 to and including 17 years.


Criteria: Hunter Education and a youth hunting license is
required ( an apprentice license can take the place
of hunter education)

The Indiana Beagler' Alliance Youth Rabbit and Squirrel hunt is a joint effort with DNR's Division of Parks and Reservoirs at Salamonie and includes a partnership with the National Cur and Fiest breeders Association and the National Kennel Club.

The youth will meet at Bozarth's Camp Resort at 7:00 AM and be in the field by 8:00 AM. There will be a long lunch between the morning and afternoon hunts A free lunch will be served. Door prizes, and/or trophies will given out in the afternoon after the completion of both hunts. Justin Harrington, Salamonie Reservoir Wildlife specialist has offered to speak to the group and explain his role as Wildlife Specialist and some of the goals and ideas for the reservoir.
