 Alpha????

A buddy of mine has a alpha that works fine as long as completely dry. Any kind of the slightest moisture and it goes crazy. Just a mist in the air will do it. Anybody ever had this happen?

I would dig a little deeper and see if it is COLD moist air or Warm Moist air. If you determine COLD I thing the temperature is taking the battery draw into a range your battery is not capable of. Swap batteries with someone for a night or two.

Send it back to Garmin. I'd say it has a wiring or board issue.
