Bloodline that hunts close?

Are there any bloodlines out there that are producing a closer hunting style dog? I'm wanting to find something that won't blow out of the country and that will hunt the woods it's turned loose in.

Gene Hicks

Gene Hicks has some pretty good dogs down here in Tennessee the Albert dogs, they're the ones I like atleast they have a good head on there shoulders and will hunt a place out. But it's how you raise and train the pup that has alot to do with it to and what you hunt it with if you hunt with anything to get it started.

Now that is a welcoming question that I've not heard of. I always hear the majority wanting hounds to hunt out and get deep and alone. I have had many hunters trialing my hounds I've had for sale, complain about them not getting deep enough to suit them. The timber patches that I hunt are small blocks surrounded by pine thickets and my hounds have to know how to hunt shallow and in detail and not to pass up coons laid up in these little timber draws.
I usually have pups for sale from time to time, but here lately have had bad luck with females not coming in regular and if not at all.
