what if ?

you made one cross and it seems to be turning out real nice and you had the chance to do it again would you
but you also have two studs fees for two other well bred studs availible
which way would you lean

Old wives tale about the 2nd cross not being as good as the first, is just that an OLD wives tale.
As long as your female is in good shape and fed right, no reason the pups wont be as good or better than the first. Just my humble opinion.

nothing wrong with going back to what has already proven, how ever, if you really want to know what kind of reproducer you have in your female, you will need to step out a little and breed to several males of different bloodlines, if that,s not your interest, then I would go back to what has proven to work.......Gerald
