Here's a picture of a bluetick pup that has no black spots on her body. Do they develop black spots or will this dog stay blue? (Dalmations, e.g., develop over time)

I would say that one will end up a mottled blue on the body. They do change a lot but I think if there were going to be large spots you would see evidence of them now.

I AGREE WITH JOHNNY. THERE ARE SOME OLDER GUYS AROUND HERE THAT ALWAYS WANTED AN OPEN TICKED HOUND WITHOUT BIG BLACK SPOTS. I HAD ONE ONCE, SHE WAS A LITTLE LIGHTER THAN WHAT I LIKE, BUT SHE WAS A DARN GOOD HOUND. HAD LOADS OF FUN WITH HER.
