Gooduns'
Wow. It took me three tries to find a good dog. He's not the hardest tree dog but I have never not been able to find him. He's not the fastest track dog but there aint much that has ever gotten away from him. This dog just trees coon about 90% of the time where ever I drop him. My girlfriend hunted him in the world hunt this year and to be honest he advanced because he messed up less than the other dogs but it had not rained there for two months. This same dog has been match hunted against walkers, blueticks, and other curs and has rarely been beat. He is not the best dog I have but he will darn sure tree coon after coon after coon on any decent night and work like hell to get one up on the worst of nights.
I'm not saying that I don't believe you Doug but I have not had the same experiences that you have with leopards. Not even close. Jason Abbott is close to you and he ought to be able to end this streak of bad luck you are having. I hope the two of you have a fun night out.
To be fair, I should say that I have seen the type of dog that you describe...more than once. It's really to bad. With how easy and fun a leopard can be, it is a real treat to hunt with a good one.
You should take a look at the ad John Wick put out in the American Cooner. You don't know me from Adam but Wick has enough credibility so that you ought to be able to take his word for what he says. His dogs are very closely related to most of the dogs that I have. You might try one of them. I don't have anything to sell right now or I would make you a deal that you about couldn't refuse just to end this bad streak. I sure hope to see your apology here soon. Not because I am offended but because I feel bad that you have not gotten to hunt with a good one.
By the way, did you used to own Pick?
