Went for a short hunt last night, light as day and 24 degrees. The dogs really had to look hard to find anything, turned loose 3 times, 1 den tree, 1 blank and finally a coon. Paul's little Ata Girl female sure looked good, independent and doesn't know what pressure is. Watch out for her next year in the hunts........Tim

Went for a short hunt with Doug Linn early last night seen some good dog work out of Ranger and Froggy. Met up with Paul and Mark Brown after Doug had to go home, we also had some good dog work out of Glo, Psyco and Ranger. Psyco, out of a POP-A-Top female x Turk, will flat get on the wood and you will be hearing about him in the Spring..........Tim

I got home about 4:45. I had an absolute "BLAST" hunting with you and Paul last night. Sure was good to see Paul after 30 years....WOW can he still flat hunt. Thanks for the leg-up with Psyco!

Sorry I've been so slow on the trigger! Between hunting and spending Mad Dog Dollars...seems I can't catch up.

Thanks for asking about Psyco and the warm welcome to the team. I haven't got his papers yet but will try and get some pics soon. He is by Turk and a Pop-A-Top female, I'm sure Tim can quote them by memory! He is showing us more each time out. The things I/we see so far is he is independent as can be and not bashful on either end and a real real nice tree dog....uses his mouth right...and seems to be a real smart pup. I could have saved some time and said a typical "Turk pup". Only time will tell for sure... the verdict is still out. The thing that gives me the most confidence is Paul gave him his stamp of approval...that's not easy to come by.

Roger Remter came down from Neb to pick up a pup and take a hunt. Paul took At-A-Girl, Mark took Psyco and I took Ranger, we were able to show Roger some coon and plenty of "Mad-Dog" tree power. Had a good hunt despite the 20 degree weather, at night, and half frozen corn fields.........Tim

Your hunt with Paul had a good sampling of the Mad Dog line, Astro sired by Quad Grand Psyco Sid, Circle sired by Gr Nt Frank Jr and Froggie by Dual Gr Zip. Just got in from a hunt with Doug and Paul, dogs looked good but they walked our butts off. The first ditch Ranger went 380 yrds N W and fell treed, he had a den. While we were looking Ranger's tree over we heard Astro and Froggie get treed 890 yrds N E, we went back to the truck and drove around and were still 600yrds from them. When we got there they had a den also. We decided to hunt them back to the truck,as these things usually happen Astro went 200 yrds N and Froggie went 400 yrds S both had dens again. We went back to the truck. Next turn out Ranger and Astro struck in at 350 yrds West turned and went North, Froggie struck in at 400 yrds West and went South. Ranger and Astro were getting close to a road so we drove around, Ranger was treed in a fence row with a coon, Astro was treed over the hill with a coon and we could hear Froggie treed 780 yrds in, she also had a coon. They are not afraid to get gone and they don't need any company to tree a coon. Froggie (UKC 1st,2nd and BFOS), sired by Dual Grand Mad Dog Zip, ASTRO (CH with 4 wins, NT CH) sired by Quad Grand Mad Dog Psyco Sid and Ranger CH with 3 wins, NT CH with 2 wins) sired by GR NT CH Mad Dog John II (TURK). Looks and ability......it's in the BLOOD..........Tim

Sounds like you guys had a good hunt. We have been getting a few den trees too. We got together with Brownie and his dad last night, treed a couple early and then treed a couple of dens. I went home at about 11:30 and the boys went for another dump. Rain started moving in with the front. Hope the weather doesn't get to bad, things are just starting to roll for the young dogs.
