I will probably breed her back to John II again, there were some guys that I didn't get to on the waiting list last litter. I already have 1 male and 1 female booked if I breed her back to John II. Reports are good from last litter and they aren't very old.........Tim

Bred Wendy yesterday, two more pups spoke for.

Went hunting for a little while last night with Roy and Tim Clifton, they had ole Smoke and Robin. We turned loose a couple times and treed 2 singles, that ole Smoke sure is a "treedog" and makes it look easy...........Tim

Doug Linn and I decided to take a quick hunt last night, Doug took Moe and I took Ranger. We turned the dogs loose into the wind, they were gone about 5 min when they struck and drifted up the draw opening here and there. I decided to go get the truck and drive around, Doug and my Grand Son Keaton walked through. The dogs got treed while I was driving, Just as Doug and Keaton got to the tree a Deer hunter started taking some pot shots towards them so they got the dogs and headed for the road. We drove around the section looking for a deer camp but couldn't find one. I know better than to go hunting during deer season, those guys are crazy!!!..........Tim

Same thing happened to us night before last. I was driving around the section to pick up Timmy and some guy started firing off what sounded like an AK47 several times in rapid fire. I drove to where I heard the shots comming from and the guy was standing on his back porch just shooting towards where he heard the dogs. Bad part was we were on the section across the road from his place. He doesn't even own property across the road.
Last night Robin cut across the road from where I wanted to hunt and got treed about a 1/4 mile in and the owner met me at the tree griping about me being on his deer hunting ground. After I explained what had happened by showing him my garmin he was fine with everthing and wanted to go ahead and shoot the coon out.
Getting hard to hunt where you always did before. Times are changing.

Male or female? Jim bought a male pup from me. John II is a TREEDOG that will tree the first coon up and will hold all kinds of pressure. Trees a lot of layups. Wendy is real tredog that will get treed in a hurry and have the meat. She is not afraid to get by herself. The pups that have been worked with are treeing on drags. I absolutely had a blast hunting with you and Ranger. 25 years is way too long to stay out of the woods, what a great way to get back, a great old friend and a super "balanced" hound like Ranger.

Sure didn't take ole Ranger long to knock the rust off me.....scortched one through a corn field and slam-dunked it. Then, I have no idea how many yards he drifted that scent on that lay-up. That was impressive! Especially when those other three dogs came to Ranger and had no idea that coon was in the woods.

On the way home I was thinking about that blank telephone pole. I think ole Ranger was trying to make a call to find a couple a guys that could knock out a coon in less than 20 plus shots......just think'n!
