weird
last night turned the dogs loose, they came treed but didn't sound right. drove around to them, and walked in. got to them and they was treed on a huge tree, went to shining it and my buddy yelled its got a big whole in it, and couple seconds later he said heres the coon. went down to the base of the tree and he was poking at that coon, it was deader than 4 oclock. it was just laying at the bottom of the whole about 6 feet up the tree. looked like it had been dead for a few days though


Yep; buddy thats jacked up; sounds like something that would happen to Rory with his cold nose dogs, treeing a coon that has been dead for two days, some times he even trees Turkeys, Hawks, Eagles; never can tell with that man.... Cool story thanks for sharing.

he still healing, he started swelling back out the other day. i squeeze a bunch of fluid out of him and gave him some antibiotics. i think i started hunting him again to soon.

took the old man out today to let him stretch his legs, he went about a mile and crossed a road, drove around and he was 500 yards away up the river. finally got to him and he had the grease!!! this fatboy was soaked by the time i got back to the truck.

spots side still won't heel up all the way, it will be good for a week , hunt him a few nights, then swell up and drain out. keeps going in this cycle.
