How to master reset DC50, T5, TT10 & TT15 collars.
If the DC 50, T 5, TT 10 or TT 15 collar is failing to operate as expected, corrupt data may be the cause. Performing a master reset will reset the collar to factory settings and clear data, resolving issues caused by corrupt data.
To perform a master reset*:
Ensure the device is powered off
Connect charging clip to collar
Connect USB cable to collar
Connect USB cable to power source (computer, AC wall adapter, vehicle charger)
Ensure collar light is active to confirm connection
Firmly press the Power button 4 times (each button press should produce a quiet tone from the collar)
Wait for light to turn green then red
Disconnect USB cable and charging clip from collar
Reference Owner's Manual to remove old collar information
Reference Owner's Manual to re-pair the collar
The collar has now been reset and is ready for use. If the collar did not reset you may want to try the sequence again and ensure you are hearing the quiet tone after each button press.
*While it is safe to perform a master reset on a MAC with these collars, it is not safe to update the software on MAC. Please update the software of the collars using a Windows based computer.

Bruce

I have a new on me. A while back I downloaded Birdseye on an Astro for an guy. Now he wants me to download his other. Last night when I plugged it in, it went straight to the pitch fork power symbol without giving me an option which way I wanted to go. My computer will not recognize it. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Two things. One is the pitchfork as you call it which is the power cable attached supply symbol. To get around it you go to menu setup and then in "select prompted base station on" and it will ask you during start up. Then select yes and it operates. I suspect it will still not recognize it as I think you have two different things going on.

Second thing, with the power cable symbol you should be able to update or upload birdseye with the symbol on the screen. If it doesn't recognize your handheld turn you computer off and then back on and make sure you have upgraded version of web updater or program looking for your handheld. If your using a MAC it won't recognize until your virus protection scans it and gives you a box to click saying to accept the garmin. Mine does anyway.

Used it little over a year. The rubber broke were it fasten to main body. That lets the GPS receiver move away from main body wire brakes.. then garmin fixes it for$100.00. Hope some body start maken them!

I can't speak for Garmin but if you had it right at a year, there is a good chance they would fix it under warranty.

Here's the deal. I have a alpha. I have both a T5 and a TT10. Now the TT10 is having no issues. The T5 will lose signal and have a ? every time it updates. If I set it at 2.5 seconds it will track for 2.5 sec then have a ? For 2.5 sec and keep cycling like that. This happens with collar right next to handheld all way out to .6 mile last night hunting. I did try and switch antenna from TT10 to the T5 and it made no difference. I performed a master reset on both handheld and collar. No change When it is picking up it only has 1 green bar on communication column. It has all 3 bars on gps column. As soon as I turn hand held on it has full bars on communication but then drops to 1 bar then shortly starts cycling. Any help is appreciated

I would dare say you need to update the handheld,,the alpha with the tt10 is the older unit,,and more than likely doesn't have the software in it for the T5 collar

Friend of mine has the Alpha and it randomly shuts its self off. He will be just sitting there watching it and it will just shut off and when it comes back on sometimes it has lost all the tracking that it has been doing and sometimes it keeps the info.

What can we do or what needs to be done to fix this issue ? We just updated it a couple of months ago and the battery is showing good. Like I said he can have it one for 1 hour and it may go off and sometimes it happens after a .5 hour no pattern to it at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anything specific to a particular dog or collar is operated from the menu page of that particular dog.

It won't turn on either will it? If it won't the processor is dead and it is toast. If it will turn on I would investigate the charger a little more. The wall prongs need to be slid off the charger housing and the contacts behind them checked to make sure they are not bent.
