I see Zero has just hit number 2 in the breed race. What a STUD! (Not you Casey the dog.) Maybe this weekend you can put some $ on him in Ozark at the River Run Classic. Unless you draw me and then maybe you will LOSE! Ha ha. Hope to see you then.

Hey Casey congrats on moving Zero up in the state and breed races. When I was over at Steve Bankston's I really liked his Pebbles gyp. She had the looks and glided around the place. Nice!

I've got a littermate sister to pebbles ( Zero x Fannie) here at the house. She has a whale of a mouth. I have taken her hunting twice. The first time I hunted her w/ a nice nt ch female. She left w her n she stayed gone, they hunted to the end of the island and didn't strike anything, so I caught em up.

Second time I cut her w/ pa (zero). She took off w/ him. He treed at a little over 900 yards.. I didn't put a tracking collar on the pup. When I got to zero's tree she was nowhere around.. I could hear her about 350 yards deeper and right handed behind a super nasty sawgrass swamp. I'm not sure how the heck she managed that and if she was barking lost or trailing... Anyway, about 10 minutes later she finally came right through the middle of that nasty mess. and got up on the tree a little.

I WILL have a tracking collar on her next time

Picked up a little more $ on Zero this weekend.
Missed final 4 by 25 points. Already had cast won and thought I had enough plus to get in so played it safe and didn't tree zero ( he was alone) w just a couple minutes left in the hunt... Hindsight- I should have.... Had a good time tho and treed some coons.

Layla hasn't had the pups yet... but should be any day.. I feel the pups wiggling around when I put my hand on her side...

Krocket- I've been hoping for that myself!

How about if the sister of poncho also was a pkc ch and ukc nt ch? How about if she had made it in top 16 of National breed race the last 2 years....

Then we may be in luck in about 65 days!!!

I believe we had spoke one time and you told me that you had a littermate to Zero you liked that got killed on a road?

Layla had 14 pups today, 13 looking healthy and 1 that didn't make it.. Layla will be 9 in July, so it was a bigger litter than I expected. I believe she's one of the few Grntch females still kicking off hillbilly... but not really sure what's left out there off Hillbilly

Really like my Pebbles pup and looking forward to hunting her this summer and by the Fall we should really be seeing what she's capable of. Had some complications w/ the pups. Layla wasn't eating the day after she had the pups and her temp was 103.3, so I took her to the vet.. Did x-rays to make sure nothing retained.. Gave her some high powered antibiotics ( along with a high powered vet bill), but she was super weak, 14 pups was just way to many for an almost 9 y/o dog to handle. Mother nature trimmed the # of pups down to 7.
The 7 are fat and slick and are now 2 weeks old, had their first wormer, eyes open and have been jumping out of the whelping box...
I will get some updated pics of the pups. There are no pups available...
Zero has been doing some coon treeing in the elimination hunts.. Currently he is #1 out of all breeds in Florida State Race and # 2 in National Bluetick race. He has won $1389 this year so far ( not all of that goes towards race $).....
Maybe he will tree a few more... I've spent hundreds of nights in the woods w/ Zero and I like him more and more every time... .. How I can call him treed before he even finishes his locate and know that he will be there when we get to him, 2 minutes or two hours later....The way he won't honor the other 3 slick treeing dogs and goes on to tree his own coon in a competition hunt makes me smile everytime.....
