One of my friends was friends with Buddy Martin who raised him. He said that joker was a go yonder dog before there were go yonder dogs. He said if Style hadn't struck with 30 min. You better start driving. He said they drove to him treed more times than he cared to.
Did any of yours have that high style color? That was one of the most beautiful hounds I ever saw. It's my personal favorite.
You can spot hounds with his color and you will find him back there somewhere. That's a very dominant gene.

On Grand niting his son of Boots/Lock Box.
That's 2 Gr.nts and 2 nt. Chs. From that cross and two more that just need a win to nitech out.
Tyler's Bo dog is a coondog. He will start breeding him now so if you're close to North Miss. Give him a shot if you're looking for a direct son of Box to breed to.
When I breed I like to see siblings that were naturals as well he dog I'm breeding to.
He's a 50 lb red headed blanket back dog with a giant mouth
And stone independent. Won't cover unless they strike out of the box that way. His mom Boots was the same. Deaf to other dogs from the first nite they were hunted. That's DNA. So if you want to breed for competition, that's the way to go.
He will be running an ad on him soon.

I've worked very hard for a long long time and after 35 years starting to have hounds from my line getting some recognition. I've had great success for myself. Only in the last 10 years have they gotten into some hard hard hunters hounds. That's the toughest part of it all. They deserve the majority of the praise.
I'll be making a cross good Lord willing that should keep my line going.
I highly recommend any of the males from that cross. I know of the one Keith has or the one here in North Miss and one in VA.

If you're young in the sport of showing it should give you a leg up when hitting the local shows.
Peep my newest project went from zero to 8 straight to make grand champion . That's as fast as you can do it. She had never been posed when I got her at 15 mo old.

He passed away today at age 4.5.
He was from the Boots / Lock Box cross
He did get to produce one letter before he died.
Gil Bowman of Charles City , VA owned him and he has a direct son from him that is just fixing to get his son his first season.

I highly recommend a pup from this blood line.
Keep me posted Gil on the progress of your newest Freddo pup.
