Just the way the brackets lay out for me. If KU's point gaurd pulls his head out they could make a run, Ok state will scare the crap out of zona, I carried Baylor to the elite 8, Iowa state to the elite 8. Just can't get them any farther with the match up's, I've got Syracuse beating KU.......KU stinks against a decent zone.

I've got Iowa state beating Nova based on the fact that they can flat out shoot the jumper and nyaing(?) is a match up nightmare.

Virginia gets knocked out by Michigan State.......if the MSU team that beat Michigan shows up......Virginia is the most unheralded ACC champion ever, guess if you ain't Puke or NC you don't count!!

Florida for the win.

Virginia got beat by 30 against tenn. a 1 seed should never get beat that bad...

Sometimes it takes a while for things to come together, they are playing really good ball now........which of the season would you rather look bad in? I'm sure you could say the same thing about several teams in the tournament.........only 1 is undefeated.

Louisville non-conference schedule was weak, rpi wise, and those teams with weak non-cons took a hit in the seedings..........ask SMU, 300 rpi SOS.

food for thought...uk played a very tough out of conference schedual ,it did not pay off for us ,with the 8 seed...we could have played someone besides msu,baylor in texas,north Carolina...I just hope our AD and coach cal. don't stop playing the best because of this seed but they would have every rite to do so,..had we played weaker teams in those 3 games that we won we would be 27 and 7,and I think we would be higher than 8...not to mention the AP voters that have us out of top 25,so the only payoff is that our kids aren't scared of any team in our region but if we cant win some games here in the tourney then the schedual did not help us at all...only hurt us

I'm pretty sure strength of schedule plays a big role in where teams get seeded! Maybe if UK hadn't played such a tough schedule, they would have been a higher seed than 8. That tough schedule only prepares teams for the tourney! Teams with cupcake schedules, or weak leagues, usually don't make it past the second round.

] im a pro shocker..they beat st.louis,tennesse,alabama,tulsa...that is 3 tourney. teams..but yes the rest they beat was very weak...

Look at smu didn't make the tourney because they had a weak schedule. But witchita state hasn't played no one good

Been watching K-State all season, went to school there for 4 years......been in Lawrence for 23 so I've been transformed into a Hawk fan.

Look at KSU's home vs road record, they are a tough team at home in the Octagon of Doom........they have few road wins. KU throttled them here and lost there, they're whole Big 12 record looks like that.

They have a good young guard, one guy of size, and overall limited talent at the forward position. They overall play with grit, but can unravel when they get behind. I'm carrying UK to the next round.

Wichita has beat as many tourney teams as Kentucky! 3 I believe.

Nova beat 9 or 10 and wasn't a 1 seed with a top 10 RPI. What a shame but I guess they could have been treated like Louisville.

I'm looking at last yrs. board & only one #1 seed made it to the final four that being the champions, Louisville. Other #1 seeds; Gonzaga only won one game with both Kansas & Indiana winning two games & done. The other final four teams were Wichita St. #9 pick; Syracuse #4 pick; & Michigan #4 pick. Everything that I've seen & read is Florida should be this yrs. champion, I hope they don't have to play Syracuse along the way! Charlie Radtke
