 Jack pups

Bad news on a couple nice young prospects out of Jack. A nice young hound out of Jack from TN was hit and killed by a car while hunting. I really hated to hear about this. I was attempting to acquire this young male then heard about the bad news. He was just 11 months old. He was a nice looking male, with an extremely nice mouth that was treeing coon. Also have recently heard of another very nice male that was 7 months old come up missing while hunting. They were getting this young hound ready for the Fall Super Stakes. He was starting to do it all well, he was going to be a super nice one.


Now some good news, Sissy still has all 9 of her pups and Thunder has 6 pups. It also looks to be certain that the Vaughn bred female that was bred to Jack is going to have pups. There are also a couple more females due to have Jack pups in late August. Jack does have a pup qualified for the UKC World Hunt, I hope they are able to make the trip to the Zones. Got a new project, hope to have some pictures of him in the coming days, his name is Edgar.


If you're interested in a pup out of Jack x Thunder give Mike Dunn a call, I believe he still has 2 males and 2 female available. I plan on delivering pups to Autumn Oaks if that will help out.

hawg dawg, to answer your question, No, Jack has been retired from hunting for well over a year now. Jack was being hunted up to the point when we seen how Jack was reproducing. Mike made the decision not hunt him anymore to avoid the possible added risk of death or injury. Jack made NiteCh quickly and earned 2 Nitech wins before he was retired. The focus on hunting for us has changed from Jack to hunting and promoting his pups. I would be in agreement with anyone that a GrNtch title would more desirable. However with that being said, Grntch or not does not and will not change Jack's reproduction ability. Jack was not just thrown out here to be an unproven stud. He was bred to a few females first and we seen first hand he was producing nice pups. We tried a couple more differently bred females also to make sure it was not just a one cross success. Like I have stated before, Jack proved himself to Mike and Myself first before he was ever offered at Stud. We didn't want to waste our time and money, nor anybody else's. Jack is a relatively new Stud and has done very well as a Stud. Jack pups are speaking for themselves. I have also stated Jack does not produce the perfect pup that will satisfy everybody, but have and are satisfying most. I respect and support the decision to retire Jack from Hunting. Mike has lost some good ones to the road in the past and has chosen not to take that chance anymore with Jack.

I don't own Jack. That would be Mike's decision. You can call him and ask. You can come to Illinois, I will be more than happy to set up and take you hunting with some of Jack's Offspring. Most of Jack's offspring is 26 months and younger. We have nothing to hide.

 Jack pups.......

Most of Jack pups are still very young, 75%-80% under 2. The listed wins was done with Jack pups between 9 months old and 2 years old. Several pups out of Jack are in the hands of pleasure hunters, the ones I have been able to keep up with are doing a good job. To my knowledge there has not been a Bluetick SS Sire, that has had the success Jack has had as a SS Sire. Jack was not offered at Stud until we knew what we had. Jack will be 8 in Nov. He has only been advertised for little over a year now.

 Got a call this weekend

I got a call this weekend from a man I sold 3 Jack pups to. The pups were 9 or 10 weeks old when I sold them to him. The pups are a little over a year and half old now. I had tried to make contact with him a few times but never could reach him. Well anyway, the man calls me this weekend, I knew who it was right off by the sound of his voice and very glad to finally hear back from him. He was calling me to give an update on the pups, he told me they were all running and treeing coon and doing a good job. He seemed to be very happy with the way they are turning out. He said the pups had interest in coon at an early age. I ask about the looks and mouths out of the pups. He said they are good looking with real good mouths. I ask about tree style, he told me plant their front feet and stand up on the tree dogs, that are hard chop mouth tree dogs. He also pointed out , they are very fast track dogs also, and quick to get struck. All the things you like to hear . he did tell me one was tight mouth on track. I was happy about his report and he sure sounded happy. He told me he would try and get some pictures or a video sent to me when he gets a chance. I really enjoy getting these phone calls. So, Shannon if you read this thanks for the call and I look forward to hearing from you again. I am also looking forward to seeing the pictures and/or video's of your nice young hounds. More feedback, I got a reply today from a man in Indiana that explain, a young male dog he owns out of Jack is doing good, and has a very nice mouth. The dog is very good looking also. The man seemed to be happy with his young male, and I'm happy he is happy and thank him for his update on his Jack pup. He had a video of him on the second coon he was ever shown. I believe that pup is 8 months old now, not sure how old he was in the video. This young male is out of the Jack x Dixie cross Mike made. Mike has a male from this same cross, that is a high energy pup. There was a guy on here that was getting out of coon hunting that had a female from this cross he was trying to sell on here. I seen where he sold all his equipment but not sure if he sold the female pup. We anticipated the Jack x Dixie cross would be a good one. They are really just getting to an age where they will start getting messed with more. I would expect we will be hearing a little more from this cross in the future. I think there was 8 pups in this cross. The mother to these pups Dixie is a nice hound with a very nice mouth. I helped get her started here in Illinois. My buddy bought her from Brian ?? The owner of BoBo when she was 9 weeks old., anyway Dixie was off BoBo X Ann which was a proven cross. Randy ,if you read this thanks for the update and video of your young hound, please continue to keep me updated and i would welcome any pictures or videos you may get in the future. Good luck with him.


JACK X SISSY PUPS: If you have a pup booked from this cross, Please get a hold of me, I will also be trying to get a hold of you. We need to start making plans on how and when you will be getting your pup. Pups will be 6 weeks old Aug. 2. I will be going to Autumn Oaks and can deliver there if that helps. If you decide you have to back out on one of these pups, please let me Know ASAP please, so I can try and get them sold and in good hands by Autumn Oaks time. Thanks Chris- (618)-553-4754

 HARPETH RIVER BLUE JACK X WILD-N-BLUE SISSY PUPS

I saved some pups back from this cross in case Sissy lost some pups, but Sissy has done an excellent job raising 9 pups. So, because of Sissy's excellent job raising this litter and a few mind changes. There is 2 males and 2 females available for sale now. Pups will be PAID up UKC Performance and PAID certified PKC Super Stakes. Pups will be 6 weeks old this Friday. Price: $300 per pup. Pups are located in Cullman, AL for pick up, or I can deliver to Autumn Oaks or along my way to Autumn Oaks. Pups have been wormed and currently have one shot in them. I don't have any pictures,except when they were 3 weeks old and nursing. But from what I seen of them at 3 weeks old, I would say most will be dark. There will be a lighter colored female and male, with several black body spots. Wild-n-Blue Sissy has been on the female current reproducers list for most of the year, and with another titled dog in the future will be on the Historical reproducers list with her mother Jenny.  Jack Sister

For those interested we have an older sister to Jack that we are going to lease out for breeding. She is 9 in good health. She has had pups before. She is very nice tree dog with a very nice mouth. Her first litter of pups are doing very well., some with UKC wins now. They are around 1-1/2 years old. A picture of her can be seen a few posts back. I figure her to be due back in heat Oct./Nov. I can deliver her to Autumn Oaks or the Fall round up. The lease deal: take her, take good care of her, breed her, raise the pups off her, when you wean the pups we will make arrangements to get her back. All we want in return is 1 possibly 2 healthy pups from her litter. I will help you in any way I can as far as helping sell/place pups, maybe even be able to help with delivery of pups depending on your location. Please serious inquiries only.
