'Cause I use Southern Fried Chicken Breader. If I used Cajun Breader it would taste like crawfish and so forth and so on. I reckon.

If you know of a frog or snake breader, even gator, please let me know.

Somewhere in Tenn. they surely have a local mill that puts out possum breader.

A very accurate account or report--- still a nice catch. Was that on lake or river?

Barney done a fine job on it...stopped by on the way back to see ol' Yellow Hammer but he wasn't home....seen your pickup sitting by the road Big T.

no thats a 572 rem. fieldmaster pump....heres the litter mate to yours..except mine shoots shorts only....... our dads bought those in 1968 off of peanut..for 80 bucks a piece..Peanut wanted to sell them as a pair..Big Tone gave dad the choice of which one he wanted and he would take the other..dad took the one that shoots shorts..thats how you ended up with the one you have[long rifles] ..wouldn't take $5000.00 for mine..for the simple reason ,every time I pick it up I think of dad and big tone and peanut and thats worth alot to me...bought them under the big oak tree on the west side of the school yard at the club.....

Yeah somethings can't be bought at any price!!!!!! I've got two of them both long rifle different colored one darker than the other is all, both still shoot straight as a string. I'd buy 'em all day for that price don't you know. May be even better to go back to that time for one more B.S. session with them two---never a dull moment for sure.

I got 2 of them too..mom was growling about dad buying that gun so for x-mas that year dad went out and bought her one. ha ha, ha that showed her....this one shoots long rifles......yea I would like to go coonhunting with them 2 one more time..I would hope that Tone would bring lady bird and not max[that dog would swim across lake Michigan if he thought there was coon over there and a mouth big enough you would hear him clear across the lake...I know you could hear him on the other side of the square up town if somebody went down the alley by the lumber yard....remember that hunting coat your dad had..he would turn a coonhide inside out and rub the grease all over that coat to waterproof it..dad said that coat would keep Tone bone dry on them rainy nights..dad would kid him and telling his coat was turning rancid..what a hoot hunting with them two...

Yeah I remember them two dawgs. Iron ball was at the old house one time thinkin' nobody home tryin' to make friends with Max, dad was at the back door and steped out and said to iron ball there's a dog you can't steal iron ball 'bout jumped out of his skin. Peanut tried his best to buy old max but I wouldn't let dad sell him, they both died up here of old age, Gem dog reminds me a lot of both of them-- hunt for 1hr. or all nite. That max was a swimmin' fool. I'm like Jeff Ashmore color don't make the dog it's like Gut says you get out of 'em what you put in 'em. Lady bird was the first dog I seen bring a coon back to you from across the water. Me and John hunted those two the last year kill season they lived. Started here in the hollor and ended up at almost your cousin Ron's folks bottom. Don't remember how many coon we had but was glad to see dad and the truck.

That's one of the reasons Jeff's in a whirl to start back up the swims--- to let some of these younger kids witness "simpler times"---10-4

Some of the youth today think simple times is a couch with a dang video game box and a hearty prayer to the lord they don't have to get up!! My step son gets real interested when other youth are involved... hopefully my 2 month old little girl will be like dad and fall into complete awe when it comes to coon doggin!

Let her get into it slow and easy--don't force it on her--and it may soak in. Once it's in her blood there's no stopin'.
