Talked to Brian Pierson this morning it seems his Ruger dog (Turk x Hey Jude) was treed on a high bluff and fell landing on a brush pile running a stob through his side, he was dead by the time they were able to climb down to him. Brian said that he had the coon and had done a heck of a job on him.........Tim

Sorry to hear about the pup. Things happen so fast sometimes and we take it for granted every time we hunt. Last night Danny came over for a hunt. First dump Smoke and Mo treed a litter 100 yards from the truck. Next dump they both ran a hard runner in the corn. Made a couple circles and pushed him to the river. They both hung up and Smoke moved it back towards us and set down and treed and had the coon. When I say they hung up I'm not kidding. Mo was still in the same spot and wasn't opening. We got worried and Danny headed to him. He found Mo hung up on a stob stuck through his collar and had twisted it to where he was chokeing down. Danny got to him just in time.

Just got home from our road trip, hunted with some real power from The Mad Dog North Kennels. I will talk some more about them after I get some shut eye. Ranger did win CH on the bench but didn't do any good in the hunt..........Tim

I got that male pup off of Danny ( GrNtCh Turk X ???? I think NtCh Cleo ) need to get with you about getting the papers on him.
Dark, good lookin rascal and wants a coon. Every night when we go out to the pens to go hunting he throws a fit wanting to go. Danny said the pup went hunting with the old dogs and treed a hang up pretty good the first time out.

How did the horse shoe pitching go this weekend??

Had a call from Bill Kaeneal from Wisc last night, he sure is happy with his Max pup( Turk x Hillbilly Millie). He said that Max treed 4 singles behind some older off colored hounds the other night. He also said that when Max gets on the wood the only way you can hear another dog is when Max pauses for a breath. Planning to put him in a hunt real soon.........Tim
