go north of 36 and hunt the state parks is what I do...to many deer with no head gear..14 does this morning..

LOCATION: The Harry "Babe" Woodyard State Natural Area is located 2.5 miles south east of Georgetown in southeast Vermilion County.

DESCRIPTION:

TOTAL ACRES: 1250 HUNTABLE ACRES: 1150
WATER ACRES: 21 TIMBERED ACRES: 1130
OPEN ACRES: 298.5

The Natural Area is characterized by major habitat areas consisting of forest (73%); grassland (8%); shrubs (2%) and cropland (17%).

SITE REGULATIONS:

Free Site Hunting Permits (windshield cards) are required for species a noted. These are available online at www.dnr.illinois.gov. Navigate to "Hunting/Trapping" and then "public hunting areas" to print these permits. Hunters will be required to return to this website prior to February 15th each year to record harvest information. For Free Upland Game Permit areas, a Free Upland Game Permit Application must be submitted online for a lottery drawing to be held in August. The application is available at www.dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/uplandgame. Hunters will be required to return their harvest card prior to February 15th each year. Failure to submit data/card will result in loss of hunting privileges for the following year.
Hunting is restricted to those portions of the area posted to hunting. It is illegal to construct or use a tree stand using nails, screws or any device which pierces or cuts the bark of the tree on which it is installed. Hunters must remove tree stands daily.
The hunting area will be closed to all other activited during Firearm Deer Season.
Free site permit number must be attached to the tree stand. The number must be visible from the ground.
Hunters engaged in quail, rabbit and pheasant must wear a cap and upper outer garment of solid blaze orange (at least 400 square inches).
Only antlerless deer or antlered deer having at least 4 point on one side by be harvested.
Pheasant, rabbit and quail hunting is by free Permit Only . Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December, through December 24, except during the firearm deer season and open December 27 and 29. Hunting hours and limits are statewide.
Woodcock, Statewide opening to 4:00 P.M. October 31st.
Squirrel Season Opens the 1st Tuesday after Labor Day, Season closes at 4:00 P.M. October 31st.
Raccoon trapping is allowed by permit issued by public drawing. DP (Dog Proof) EGG TRAPS REQUIRED.
Dove Hunting is Sept. 1-5, Noon through 5P.M. Statewide hours apply from Sept. 6 through the close of the first season. Free site permit required. Lottery drawing held first 5 days at 11 A.M.
Coyote hunting season coincides with statewide fox season. Hours coincide with statewide regulations.
Shotgun, muzzleloader and handgun are allowed during the firearm deer season. All State regulations apply. consult the Digest of Hunting Trapping Regulations for caliber and useage restrictions.
Authorized night hunters may use .22 caliber rimfire rifles in pursuit of furbearers.

yea buddy, best thing ukc ,pkc,and akc ever did was get them play by plays going..no more calling a dozen guys or wait a month on the magazine..now its come all long for the ride.oh yea..

Rex got back on a little bit ago Roller won. Td gave up and went to bed. I got the e-mail picture that's pretty cool.
