Morning all,
8 degrees without the wind chill which makes it like 0. I thought it was going to warm up some now calling for some wintery mix tomorrow. Looks like a good weekend to sit in the basement with the hounds.
I feel bad because I have not went hunting all week. Might have to brave the cold one night this weekend. Not real for sure on that though.

Funny Randy...lol...

Wind is whipping here. I forget if it was cold or warm yesterday... Heck I forget yesterday??? I'm having one of those days... Nothing bad...just in outer space! I'm watching hockey, Bruins vs Flyers...while Bob is in the garage putting a snowblower back together. He had the darnedest time getting the part...lol... took WEEKS so he is so into putting the part in he is missing hockey! WOW! Hope it works after!
We had to turn down taking in an old coonhound who lost his owner(passed away)... The dawg has controlled siezures and is old...but with me being at Mums weekends and the cat needing extra care...Now is NOT the time. It has me stressed but... It is also tuff because today would have been Webster's 9th Bday...so we miss him even more today than normal...and it's too soon to have another with seizures for us. We are trying to see if any friends want an old pet.... SIgh... Hate not to be able to help....
Prayers to ALL in need and also sending some WARM thoughts to you all! Sounds like it's been a miserable winter for most! Weather wise at least!

Weather... Was warm enough today to go out with out a coat and nice once the sunshine came out.. tonight colder and tomorrow a high in the teens...Upanddown and.... Happy Birthday Shawn !!

Well the cold is back after a brief warm up 20 degrees yesterday at tractor supply. I ran in to five coonhunters all we needed was some chairs and a warm stove and we.could have treeed a lot more coons than we did

Corky burnt all the wood my youngest son and my nephew and myself cut wood and splint 3 loads this weekend. so I am ready for.the cold again

Y'all stay warm oh yeah say a prayer for Lyndell he is going to have open heart surgery

Morning all,
13 degrees driving in this morning. At least we do not have any of that white stuff.

I thought I went totally crazy last night let two young boys talk me into to going hunting. I told them when it hits 30 I am coming home. First drop around 7:00 dogs milled around a couple hundred yards away no sound. Next thing you know they are 400 then 500. Told the boys to load up we would drive closer. stopped at one spot closer to them I thought .6 miles away. Got within 400 yards and started walking to them. Buster must have been sneaking up to hunt with WB and Linkous. He was treed on a no trespassing tree. Grabbed and took off towards th eother dog. Got to her no light ons still could see the coon sitting in the tree. Cut them again 300 plus yards. Got to them a hole underneath a big pine tree. It was about 8:45 loaded up went home.
