We had a great time yesterday at Wilton's Family Fun Day! The kids were whooped yesterday after all the dog handling, but they had fun participating. Thanks to the Wilton Rod & Gun Club for putting on a fun family event, and Congrats to all the winners and participants!

Well, since Aub finished Sunni to Quad Champion, I asked him....."Who's next?" Sunni is now coming into heat, so is it Mischief to GRNITECH, or Taterchips or Baby to NITECH? He took all 3 out tonight, and I don't think he got any answers....they all looked good.

Red Dogs in NH getting it done!

From Lastnight! Paco did an awesome job on this LAY-UP! treed on a big dead tree surrounded by water and coon was ALL DRY!

Paco Treed on a Big ol Den tree!

From a couple nights back�this was the fourth tree she made and finally found a coon in the leaves

Paco looks and sounds great guys! That's a nice big coon in that bottom picture.

Aub didn't go out opening night. He went out for a couple hours Saturday night and treed 7 with Clyde, Mischief, and Baby. He said the old man at 12 years old is loosing his eyesight, and hearing, but he can still move a track like nobody's business. Sunday night he took Ox, Taterchips, and Skinny and treed 5. Tonight it was Mischief, Baby, and Taterchips for 2, but we had 8 kids along with us, so 2 trees in these ridges with 8 kids was about all we could handle.

Tuesday night Abram and I went out with Aubrey, Mischief, Baby, Taterbug, and Dice. The night started out kind of slow and rainy, but picked up later and we ended up bringing home 12 coon.

Last night Aub and the boys went out with our nephews and an old family friend. Aub took Dice, Baby, and Mischief, and his nephews brought Buck (Rip x Foxxy) and V (Clyde x Rattle). Most of the area had just been logged in the last 2-3 years, so it was thick, brushy, and tough going. There was a few tapped trees and half locates, and it took a track dog to work through the mess. They treed 6 big coon.....sounds like they should have weighed two of them....Aubrey said they were the biggest 2 he's treed in a long time.

Aubrey, Terry, Scott, and Zeb headed out tonight in the rain/mist and fog. They had a good hunt, seen some good dog work, and harvested 7 coon. Side story.....a couple years back about 8 or 9 guys from NE Iowa and SW Wisconsin hunting red dogs got together and had a mock night hunt in order to have some fun and teach the young guys the rules. The "trophy" for the overall winner of that event was a cherry cheesecake made by myself. Scott made the comment to Terry a few days ago that they were going to keep score tonight because he needed another shot at that trophy.

Saturday night, Terry, Colton, Zeb, and Ricochet Jay went out on the mules. I think they had a good time, treed some coon, caught some coon on the ground, and Jay made it back in one piece!

Good thing Terry let Aubrey win in this title match of foosball, otherwise we wouldn't of gotten to the woods until Aubrey finally won!

As a partial city kid when told I was going to be on mule that night I was terrified to be honest. Never been on one, nor did I think I needed to be on one. Not totally convinced that I'd do it again, but probably would. As long as there was a blue dog in the pack then!
As always it was great seeing and spending time with your kids (Aubrey and Ann too ) . I truly appreciate the patience and forever grateful help I got from Aubrey, Terry, Colton, and Zep while riding. A lot bigger area then the "golf course" land that I am accustomed to hunting that's for sure. Thanks Ann for dinner and Aubrey for inviting me to tag along. I may of misplaced something, and I hope you find it, or at least Abram does.

Aubrey & the Iowa crew were happy to have you along, Jay. We found your lost parcel�..the next day when I got in the van I was like �where did this come from??......Oh, yeah�..Jay was here�

Aubrey took Dice, Baby, and Taterchips out Thursday night. He said it was a nice night, coon were running good, the dogs split a couple times, and the dogs caught another huge coon on the ground. They came home with 15.

It's deer season here in Wisconsin, and we've got our first snow (4+ inches), so coon hunting will be on hold for a bit.

He got out Chips and Mischief out last week before deer season.

Cool things you find in the woods. The old farm house rotted and fell down, but the fireplace is still standing.
