Thanks Corky! We ate dinner at Cracker Barrel in Ocala Fl on our way down.

Can't remember what we ate at the moment. We wanted to eat at another one off 75 in S Ga on our way back ( I believe at Adel) but it was so crowded ...or looked to be from the cars in the parking lot...that we opted against it. One of our favorite places to eat and it appears to be everyone elses' too. Your meal sure sounds good!

Back when i did lots of barn work I used to interact with the skunks at night in the barn, being cool and calm and talking to them they were very peaceful. Always hated when we have had one to have to kill(for messing with Chickens and eggs...). We smell them TONS here but realize now it's the newest feral cat causing that... he is in and out all night at the cam and comes a BIT too close to the skunks! LOL... It is VERY fun to see them... they would be awful cute pets!

FISHERS... we do have lots here and I hear they are a REAL problem with hounds. They are MEAN as heck too. I still can't believe that one ate a bunch of marshmellows! Bob said it kinda ruins the reputation.
Joey, They are like weasels but quite a bit larger. We have one HUGE male that we have seen at the cams. their TEETH and claws are MASSIVE! We have a small female mounted here(it's somewhere in my photobucket). We had to get a special tag for it. You can kill them any time they go after livestock but have to WASTE the skins. Sad.. so we asked permission to mount one. They can be trapped with licenses but I believe in MA not hunted? I forget....

The weather cooled off a bit here... after high 70s spoiled us it was about 50 or so today. Had a NICE walk with the dawg. Was chatting with the neighbor on his land but had to leave when a big male dog came near... I was afraid I couldn't handle Webster who got hackly at him... So we went off and explored and explored... TONS of deer tracks from the night. We do have a good deer pop. all things considered cause of the apple orchards and state land nearby.... BUT at least one of the orchards has to kill a good # of them as "nuisance"... so they stay healthy despite no hunting lands around...
After we finished walking the neighbors Webster wanted to keep going so we went for "a short walk" on our road... which ended up with us going off road to the "wetlands" which were BONE DRY... followed a dry stream bed a ways... BUT when there was a group of jays going INSANE... and Web pulling me like CRAZY towards them... and then DEAD silence I got the willies and we turned to go home...LOL.. I had already been a doofus and peeked into a big den... in the middle of fox and yote territories. I decided me and Web against our HUGE yotes was STUPID...... lol... All in all a Nice walk and Web would have gone forever....
SO... Everyone have GOOD HUNTS tonight! Heather

WAYNE, JEFF, AND FRED HAVE BEEN DOIN SOME HUNTIN AND HAVIN SOME BLESSED HUNTS. THEM LEPS ARE DOIN THE JOB. ME ON THE OTHER HAND, AS BAD AS I HATE TO SAY IT, [ AFTER MY ACCIDENT ], IVE BEEN TRYIN TO GET USED TO WORK. SURE I WALKED 4 TO 6 MILES A DAY AND WORKED OUT AT THE GYM 1 OR 2 HOURS A DAY, BUT IT AINT THE SAME AS DOING CARPENTER WORK 8 HOURS A DAY WITH JEFF AND FRED. THEY ARE SOME GOOD BOSSES, FOR THE FEW DAYS IVE BEEN BACK AT WORK I AINT BEEN MYSELF, [ I HAVE BEEN SCATTERBRAINED, TO MUCH TIME OFF ] AND THEY AINT FIRED ME YET, SO I THANK GOD FOR GOOD BOSSES. ANYWAY GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

36deg no wind clear
alot to do to day got to leave at 2:30 to judge an english sectional . who all hunted last night i didnt go thursday i droped a piece of wood on my toe by the time i got in thursday night it was hurting some kind of bad. still hurts when in boots but is whole lot better.

reb takes a while to get back into swing of things

MORNING ALL, 30 DEGREES WITH A LIGHT BREEZE THIS MORN. NO FROST IN MY YARD OR ON MY TRUCK.

BBOA EVENT AT MYERSDALE PA. I PUT MY YOUNG DOG ON THE BENCH. SHE LOOKED GOOD WON THE JR CLASS BUT LOST TO THE OLDER BLUE FEMALE. THEY BOTH LOOKED GOOD. HE SAID MY DOG BEING YOUNG NEEDED TO DEVELOPE SOME. I GUESS. THE OLDER FEMALE STOOD GOOD BUT I FEEL SHE WAS TO TALL, NEVER CHECKED THAT. OH WELL THAT IS HOW IT GOES ONE MANS OPINION. HE IS THE JUDGE TODAY AND THE SAME DOGS WILL BE THERE. I HAVE NOT DECIDED IF I WILL SHOW OR NOT. THAT IS WHY I WANTED TWO DIFFERENT JUDGES. ALL THEY HAD 13 DOGS ON BENCH NOT BAD FOR FRIDAY.

I COULD NOT HUNT, MY BUDDY WHO WENT WITH ME GOT A CALL HE HAD TO COME BACK HOME DUE TO FAMILY ISSUE. NOTHING DANGEROUS.

THERE WERE DOGS THERE TO HUNT FROM, MARYLAND, WEST VIRGINIA, PENNSYLVANIA, VIRGINIA AND NEW YORK. ALMOST FORGOT OHIO.
