....................Ice split treed in Pa..........................

Went out hunting for the last time before deer season. The camps are starting to fill with deer hunters. First drop Magic and ice split treed and both had coons. Second drop Magic got chased out of the woods by coyotes. Third drop terrible track that ended with slircle on the edge of someones yard. The coon hunting has been tough to say the least. I am hoping for better hunting after deer season if we don't get snowed in.

Anny got this one treed 2 nights ago / Split on another mountain across from Bones ! Night Hunt scenario / Plus Anny's tree or Minus ? I say Plus it ! This raccoon had his eyes covered / No Gun left him/her !

Hi Craig sure not the best hunting right now / Tonight will be my last night for a few / look forward to getting out with you guys after deer season !

last week pa deer season!!! a few nice bucks killed over this way 11pt 21 inch spread 8 pt 19in 9 pt 18in back to coon hunting weather permitting soon !!!!!

Hi Everyone I told myself no posting on this site till I get me a pict or video of a hound with a coon & Rat got me both tonight ! Over 2 weeks since I have went coon hunting / Way to long / 1 Turn 1 Raccoon Tonight / Rat Looked Good !

Hi Barry Good to see you back on here ! Blade & Bonnie are Looking Good ! Did they have a fight with raccoon ? They are looking serious & I sure like Bonnies color & Blade looks to be in perfect condition ! Maybe someday we can get a pict of Blade / Bonnie / Rat & Anny on a Tree Together / look forward to seeing some more picts of Blade & Bonnie !

Tom you been doing any hunting? Got 2 up in pretty short order tonight at a lil over 900 yards! Some of those boys on this site don't think coon move in weather like we have in December. I'm sure you got some proof that they move!

Here's a video of Belle dog. She did a bang up job tonight. Treed in 15 minutes and kept me warm!

Hi Joe have only been out 1 time past 3 weeks & that was late Sunday night & only 1 turn & Rat treed 1 at just over 400yrds / I know Rich treed 2 singles Monday night with Splatt & it was Cold / Them coon do run in cold & the tracking seems to be Good in them low teen nights ! I like your picts taken with your LED light / & watch you dont burn a hole through Belle with that light lol Good Hunting !

Well the rain held off, we dropped out twice and treed twice.
The first drop was Blade and Bonnie, there were 4 coons in that tree.




The second drop we let Blade go alone, only one coon in that tree.

Hounds are looking good fellas! Got out to the woods last night around 830 and realized I left my Garmin in the kennel! Had to head back home and get it bc we don't turn anything loose around here without one! So it was about 9 when we finally got Belle dog loose last night. She got deep at around 700yd in about 20 min treed. When I got in there, she was on the other side of a frozen swamp treed on a pine! Of course I tried walking over there and fell in like a dummy! So I could turn loose again, we just called her back over and recast from that tree. She got .60mi. before she treed again. This time along the river (an easy walk) and had the meat! It was about 1130 when I got to her! We shot it out and headed home! It was a good night for the snow and weather! Here's the pics from the 2nd tree!

Hi terra no hunting here since my last post with Rat / the temps have been in single digits / low teens / low 20's about every night with wind & with the bright moon might as well stay home / I am sure with a good road or rigg hound you could get a coon gotta cover alot of ground to find them here / If I still had Honest Ivan I would be hunting / A Coonhound that could get it done in the Cold winter months rigging or roading without a bunch of aggravation either a raccoon or den & nights no raccoons were down he would stay out of trouble No Junk ! Blade was another Good one for roading / never used a vehicle when roading Blade used my 4 wheeler & I know I put over 2000 miles on hunting Blade on our pipelines & back roads & I seen him run right by plenty of deer / porkies & possum's he would stop take a little sniff & keep right on a moving / Never had a shocker on him / Naturally Straight A Pleasure to hunt ! Many Good times with Blade both competition & pleasure hunting / Tuff in competition could rack up some Good scores or get a win with that single raccoon & staying out of trouble ! Sure Enjoy getting to see Blade on here ! Do you think you will ever breed Blade to anything ? If you do I would try a pup off him / Blade has the Good Quality's you should look for when picking a sire & some Good Bloodlines !

It's been cold and snowy in Kentucky, been hard to hunt, let alone train my 6 month old pups!

Pups hit a HOTT one off my feeder, both barked two or three times and fell treed!



A couple nights later, Murdoc ran up on something he couldn't resist, he wasn't sure of WHAT but he knew there was something up there!

Finally got out lastnight / 2 dens & 1 slick with Rat / I did not whip him on the slick It was the kind I can live with lol Rats 1st den my son almost squalled raccoon out with his Fox Pro caller / It was Cool & got it on video ! Rat looked Good for his 1st time out in 3 weeks & did not get started till 11:00 PM !

Terra if I ever get the Right kind I will be to see you & Blade !
