Brayden and I lost Monster to cancer today. This is a tuff lose. Monster was only 3 years and 10 months old ... we lost her way to young. She had 4 Nt Ch wins and 3 show ch wins .We never got any pups from her. Good Luck Monster in the happy hunting grounds !

This was a huge loss..monster was tough..she had a mouth people dream of with the independence and tree power to go along with acuracy..it's really sad never got any pups outa her..1st night in the woods she treed with her mom..2nd dump she split 20 feet from her mom both had coon and she never thaught about moving..she will be greatly missed!

Was just discussing a couple weeks ago with a buddy about running the purina race next year with her..

Coon are hard to come by lately..the young dog I started hunting came in heat..Max is at Joey Criglers getting bred to Gauge as we speak and have fingers crossed Jewel is bred by Hammer down blue Tug!

Weather has broke and hunting is finally turning on..been getting out some lately..pulled the last dog off a tree just before 8 this morning..I'm not sure who's feeling it more max at a month shy from being 9 or me...I wish I was able to go all night just as hard the last dump as the 1st dump like Max does...I can see her age around home but you pull a lead out and it's hard to see she's a day over 3....

Hunts are just about to start up around hear....anybody got any pups,grand pups,nieces or nephews there gonna put in hunts this year out of Max? I would be extremely interested in hearing about them...

Looked at bloodlines for the first time in a few months and see Max is sitting in the #2 spot on the reproducers list moved up from 4th the last time I seen it..

I still remember clearly the first hunt I put Max in never would I have imagined the impact that dog would have on me in the years to come..I've sat in my chair at home just watching her curled up on her blanket in the corner thinking about the good freinds I've met because of her,the smiles I've had on my long drives home from night hunts grinning,and the many nights her and I spent together alone in the timber (some Id love to forget)...the hardest thing I've ever dealt with to this day involving dogs is accepting times not on her side anymore!

Enjoy every night you possibly can with them dogs weather there good or bad because there comes a time when you'll give anything to have even the worst nights back!

I have a grand pup to Max via Power (Spike x Max) she is just shy of 10 months and showing a lot of promise. She has a nice mouth and isn't afraid to get in the dark. If all goes well she will be in the Iowa State Pup Futurity in August.
