It was a nice night lastnight!! We had a real good hunt. Would've liked to hunt all night but my son had a basketball game this morning. I bet somebody treed a truck full lastnight!
Yea Doug wish I could have went last night. Out here tonight trying to make up for last night. Its real foggy here but coon are on the move! To foggy to even take pics of the dogs on tree.

Tonights hunt wrapped up. On the last cut Mouse took a track 600 yards and drove it along a ditch right to a huge pine tree. Couldn't hardly shine it man I bet it was a big one. Very few run that far from her and when they do they are always big coon.

Made two drops tonight and got three big dens, we found one dead coon and one that was almost dead by a creek could'nt even walk kept falling over so we put it down and went home. Is it safe to run the dogs with this going on?

Funny year
Coonin has been a bit tough around my neck of the woods. Hard to hit any running tracks. Most are older feed tracks and treeing alot of big boars. Treed 2 tonite on the outside, First turnout had my young female 860 yards to get struck and treed up at .72 miles according to the garmin. Long walk for an old man like myself. Treed another a bit later and called it a nite!!Nice nite to hunt though!!
I went out for a few hours tonight and treed 2 dens a slick and 6 singles. Nice night to be in the woods.

When coon don't seem to be moving are you guys hunting the same spots alot or are the spots your hunting being hunted about the same time everytime you cast in there?
I've noticed that when I switch my spots up and turn in them at different times I have better luck at getting good tracks.

seems like my coons have disappeared too...I dont have a whole lot of spots to hunt, 6 or 7, and I dont hunt all of them every night, but I do usually hunt around the same time each time I go, because of family, work, kids, ect....I get off work at 7, go home hang with the fam and eat, then go hunt.
