Truth about Lights

I have seen on here were people have found calculators on the internet that “converts” lux to lumens. The problem with them is that conversion assumes that your spot is 1 meter square at a distance of 1 meter and it is not. It’s more like 7 inches square at 1 meter. It has to be 1 meter square from 1 meter away to be able to back calculate it. The lux reading is correct but it can’t be back calculated.
I also see on here were some are saying that a lux reading can be manipulated and it can’t. It is either done correctly or it’s done wrong. The other thing is the higher the lux reading the further the light shines no if and or buts about it, it’s just physics. I normally keep my mouth shut about all this but I’m getting a little aggravated. I get calls every day were someone just talked to another light dealer and they are making outrageous comments on what there light will do. I wish everyone would just stick to the truth. Sorry I didn’t mean to rant.
I agree Joey, I have even noticed that some folks can't even read
there own SCALES on what there complete units weigh. Maybe it
is because of all the polititians haveing a little trouble telling the
truth that we see and hear every day latley.
