First of all, I want to say that I am not a racist. I believe that all men were created equal. I feel that our goals and ambitions to succeed depends on each individual person. If someone chooses not to take advantage of this, it should not be blamed on someone else. There are successful people of all races. There are also people of all races that choose to be lazy and let someone else pay their way. It was an unfortunate incident in the Treyvon Martin shooting. No one wins in a situation like this. However, I do believe that the attention to this matter has been a political ploy to divide and seperate Americans. The courts should decide this matter and the outcome should be accepted by all. It does not help race relations when people like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jerimiah Wright, the new black panthers and other known racists play the race card. This just causes trouble and hard feelings. There are shootings that go on all over the country and these people singled this out.(for political reasons) Why has Eric Holder turned a blind eye to the new black panther party? They have more or less tried to contract (offering rewards) for Zimmerman, dead or alive and threatening to start a race war. Many people have stated that they are no more than home grown terrorists. Wearing berets and uniforms like some kind of special forces soliders. They are no where in comparison to our elite Green Berets and Navy Seals. We should demand that Eric Holder do his job and arrest these thugs. If it was a militia group or some organization such as the Klan, they would already be in jail. JMO

I am a Vietnam Veteran and one of my buddies in Vietnam covered my a$$ more times than once and I did the same for him. He was a good friend then and still is to this day. He is a black man that fought for and still believes in the American way.

It is not about color. It is what is in a person's heart. We need fairness in America, regardless of color, religion or nationality.

very sad tragedy. no winners in this situation. two families have been ruined. meanwhile the media divides our country. divides our citizens into color and races. all this for what. ratings. it happened many weeks ago. where was the huge story. not until it became a white hispanic vs a black teen. now all the talking heads and politics are in. entitled liberal america is destroying itself. even a white black president hasn't worked. we are the divided states and races of america. sad. very sad.

This response by Larry Wood, as I understand it, is what we all need to get from this tragedy.................................

BETTER YET WHERE ARE WE ?........letting it happen..I mean, what if they had a bounty on your son's head ...what if it was your son gunned down ... Where would you want me to be standing? When good men do nothing ..I think we are gonna have to do alot of apologizing to our kids!!!!..
