Went lastnight , first drop was nothing, not a strike. Grabbed them up and went to other spot ,they got on a hot track took it about 350 yards and came treed. Got to the tree and had two coons, we were proud of the good job. The third drop ended at a den tree. So we called it a night.

Went decent. Hunted in the spring classic warm up hunt Wednesday and Ike had a 1st and 1st with a coon in 45 seconds of the cast. Other 3 went and split in just a few minutes. They had their coon and Ike had his. I had 200 plus one had 175, one had 100 and one had 125 minus. Went somewhere else. Guy with 175 plus struck for 100 i struck for 50 and treed Ike for 100. He treed his split for 100. I seen the tree Ike was on was a huge tree full of leaves. Thought to myself this is a 400 dollar tree im about to shine. Guys dog was moving so he took 100 minus. Whike I was shining my tree he re treed his dog with a monute left in the cast. I know Ike had the coon but i couldnt get a light in the tree. Thick as heck. Went and shined his tree and found his coon the beat me by 75. I was pretty disgusted. Hunted him in the spring classic last night and he treed on 2 coon hotels, 1 slick tree and had a 1st and 1st on a coon. 4 1st trees. I drew 2 dogs in The top 5 in the state race. I won the cast.

i went last night and my ole mutt treed way in younder. there aint no roads were i hunt so you have to walk after bout a couple hours of walking i heard her treeing. she was treed up a huge red oak, i never saw the coon but i was squalling with my mouth and saw a limb shakeing, so it might have been a coon there, i want say there was cause i didnt see it. it was hot as all get out and my clothes were soaking wet from sweating. found some sassafras roots and chewed on them for a while and i was able to make it out in pretty good shape lol. my dog was white eyed though.lol

I hear you there! Was hot here in ohio last night too! Real muggy, no wind at all.

This is Ike and Bell on a coon last night. Poor fella didn't pick a very big tree. I wouldn't run to far from Big Ike either haha



Then in this tree last night he thought he should be a little higher.



Will be breeding these 2 once they are both finished to Grand.

that coon thought he was pulling one over on ya, he was saying they will never find me here lol. how high was that dog in the fork of that tree? i went tonight and my dog treed off side of the mountain, she was treed up a big blomming poplar and there was 3 den holes in it with mostiure all around one hole, maybe it has something to do with the sap rising. i couldnt see the top of the tree to well cause all the other crap in my way lol. it was hot as a two dollar pistol tonight, me and my dogs nearly drunk the creek dry.lol

I here ya! Those popluar trees can be real nasty! I went out on a pkc hunt last night with Mouse and won it and boy you ain't kidding it was hot as heck! She got split from the other 3 first cut and she had 3 kits in a den tree. They looked almost full grown. I have a good pic of one I'll upload. That finished her to a PKC CH.

way cool, how did you get a picture like that? was the den big enough were you could put the camara inside and take a picture? way to go on winning the hunt, ole mouse is walking in tall cotton now lol. i didnt go tonight cause last night took so much out of me and my dog. we need rain here bad but i plan on hitting it tommorow night. mouse looks like a sure nuff coon getter.

The hole those kits were in was only about the size of a softball about 5 feet high. A spectator after we scored it asked if he could stick his phone in mouses tree and take a pic. I said sure lol and he sent me the pic. I put Ike in his first Nite Ch hunt tonight and he did a nice job. Won in with 650 plus and 375 circle. He had 5 1st trees. I was proud of him. 4 more to go. Hope to have him finished in the next 2 months as a 18 month old. Thats my goal.
