Well Cam and I are headed out tonight. Weather's cool down a lot, True Boy needs to be hunted. I hope to have some photos from tonight's hunt on here soon...

Cam's walker gyp Rena and Trueboy treed at the bottom of a deep ditch on a bass wood. Only coon in two drops. Luckily we made it out of the first drop safe with the hounds. We found baited poison tins set up in the corn with dead coon less than 3 foot away. Just glad the hounds didn't get into it, or we would've lost them for sure...

The photo turned out kind of cool... almost like it was a digital painting... We had to much light on Trueboy, but it's a cool shot in my book...

Howdy Jm just thought I would give ya a little update on my Slew X Crow pup.She is a cranked pretty tight leggy female that does everything as fast as she can go doing it, not scared of much with a pretty nice mouth. She hasnt seen a coon yet, Im gonna give it a little longer but she thinks a drag is pretty neat. She is going to be a lot of fun this fall. Thanks again Scot

Good talking with you tonight Scot. I have photos of Crow from last week I need to post here. Good luck with that pup. She seems to have her speed gear from ol' Slew!

Thanks Mike - Pup looks great! She has some spirit for sure... Great meeting you and the wife. It was nice that Scott Oulds was able to join us for a visit. I have the papers and I'm putting them in the mail in the morning to you. Good luck and keep me updated!

Day late, had to get a new memory card reader to upload my photos... enjoy!

Crow split treed from Cam's Walker bitch Rena. She had the coon, Rena pulled to her. 7/19/2012:

My female pup Bunnahabbian and John Miller's male pup. Out of Rocky x Gertie at 6 weeks old:

Smells gamey!

Stretch it!

Male says mine now!

Back to the barn with it!

Larry: Do you have seman from Rocky collected now? If so, I'd be interested in trying him on Gertie again in the spring, or possibly on another female. Let me know.

Took the wife over to Drummond this afternoon. Met up with the Fairchilds and took Mike Amanda, Michael and Gus out to dinner. It was a great time and if all goes well, Karl and I will be back up there the end of the month to run with Mike and his Slew of hounds... First time the wife's been to Drummond and the first time she met the Fairchilds. The wife loved the island so much we might make it a vacation spot in the future...

Here's Crow after she went deep through 2 cornfields and a drainage ditch from last night:

Here's a cool picture of Big Mac bridge from last week taken at the gateway into Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinaw City, Michigan.

Got out last night... finally! Here's a couple photos of a nice hunt. Made 3 trees.

Crow off on her own after True Boy and Bruich took another track into a neighboring barn:

Here is all three on the tree after a hot cornfield chase. Hard to say which one got first tree as they all hit it at the same time. Bruich is in the background. I'm finding she likes to tree back off the tree. Crow on the right and True Boy in the middle:

I do live by the bridge, The Blue Water Bridge. I'm from Port Huron, but I hunt near Deckerville were I grew up. That's 3 hours at least from were you live.

I had a nice hunt last week with Norman Baker and Aaron Martus. I had young True Boy and Norman had his 2 time world hunt qualifer Baxter along. I took some nice photos of Baxter and True Boy, but my SD card malfunctioned and I was not able to download them. Scot Crandall has sold me back a Slew Foot x Crow female pup that was born at my place last March. Looking forward to getting her back home soon and in the woods. Crow, Brook and True Boy have been treeing some coon for me. Had a nice hunt last night and will post some pictures yet today. Love my new Garmin system...

Here's some photos from last night with Crow and True Boy.

I didn't find this coon, too many saplings. Crow treed over 45 minutes while I changed out a flat tire on my truck. I would've loved to have shot this one down to her as she did it all alone. Backup came in late...

Second tree, Brook and Crow treed this one, then Brook milled off. Got the coon done for her on this one... finally!

Another shot of Crow on her second tree:

True Boy finally got his head on right and beat both Crow and Brook to the tree. Thornapple tree full of grapes... got it down for True Boy after a tough search...

Just took True Boy and Crow for a hunt last night. Made 3 trees. First 2 were full of grapes, ripe grapes at that! Didn't find the coon in either tree, but they may well have snuck off on down all those grape vines to other trees. Third one was charm as momma and son treed a big boar up a nice big Oak... not too many Oak trees in my hunting area, but we found one!

A shot of True Boy on the second tree:

Momma and son on the second tree:

Crow on the third tree with the meat for sure:

Again momma and son on the big Oak with the coon:

Finally able to meet up with Scot Crandall tonight to pick up Ginn from him. Ginn is off the Slew x Crow cross and the only surviving female pup from that litter. She a nice looker, hope to see her in the timber soon. We'll see if she has any of ol' Crow's talent in her...
