Any way, I was responding to the Gentleman from Eutawville ( I shoulda done a PM ) about Sweatman's BBQ which is in his home (can't say town ) back door.
So now you got me cranked up. And you'll be sorry. Georgia is the P Nut State, make famus by Uncle Jimmy. But they got half assed boild Pnuts simply cause they harvest for the Toms, etc, Dried and salted, aeroplane ride market. The absolute worlds worst boild Pnut is in the Mountains of western North Carolina. Around Cherokee, they advertise "hot boiled Pnuts " on roadside stands. Here tell , un backed-up reporting , that they take last years Georgia dried out Pnuts and soak them a few days to rehydrate them, and then dump them into a wash pot like they was gonna make suasage or something as God Foresaken. And after the Iron pot has done turned them black, Hence the old dog disease called Black Toungue, out of feeding a dog out of a cast iron pot, they then keep them boiling so that they can advertise "hot boiled Pnuts" not seeming to realise that when something is done it is done done. No wonder the Yankees riding the Blue Ridge Prakway gag and puke at the thought of boiled Pnuts . On my next eppisode I will Divulge to you how Colleton County South Carolina produces the worlds tastiest Boiled Pnut. Harvested in the adolescent nut stage, graded with an expert eye, Cooked and seasoned to perfection, and then Chilled to maintain that flavor that cannot be maintained for more than 36 hours, even chilled. Stay Tuned.
Oh yes I know bout the Carters and the peanut business. Plains is just about 27 miles from here. Not close friends but I have met both Jimmy and Billy. Also know a bit about Statesboro. Didn't know it was a party school. Have relatives that live there. Some went to school there. Know about the bad boiled peanuts too. Plenty of those around. Can be bought every day right up the street. We do our own when they are dug -- fresh out of the ground.
