Bama called off the dogs bigtime.

If McCoy would have played Bama would have still won the game handily.

Saban knew what he had and knew what he had to do. You can't count for momentum though and that was the only chance he was taking.

This is from someone that mortally hates Bama.

Saban also knew that keeping the unexperienced QB deep in his own territory would yeild a turnover....it worked too!

Too long a layoff led to some of the mistakes on both sides.

That being said, a lot of people forget football is a team sport, when someone gets hurt others have to step up. Texas dropped a lot of balls. They have no running game and put all there eggs in one basket, then dropped the basket.

Alabama could have lost a running back, quarterback, anything and someone would have stepped up.

This "if Mccoy wouldn't have got hurt crap" is bull, Kinda makes the rest of the team look like a bunch of bums.

i hate to post late on this subject but i was at the Grand American and couldn't.

Congratulations to Alabama they played a very good game and got the win.

we all know that that would be a different game if Colt was in there. But he wasnt and thats that.

As for the SEC Defense. it looked very over-rated to me.
Texas had a true freshman back up QB in the game and once he settled in, he was moving the ball very good against the Alabama defense. I bet those alabama fans were getting a little worried with about 3:30 on the clock.

Texas made a much better showing with their back up true freshman QB than Florida ever hoped to have with their Super Man QB.
