hey ben, have not heard from trey in along time.not sure what the deal with him.i think girls.lol. tuck has been fine.boy did he sound pretty last night.hunted a big sweet corn patch and did a super job and got the ole bugger treed.see ya next month in shell rock.brandon will be handling rebel. hes gonna put 35-40 nights on him alone, and has been roading him about 2-3 miles or so a day.you gettin cowboy tuned up? talk to you soon.Travis

Had a nice hunt with Stephan Devries tonight. Just one drop, got to do lots of wading around in floodwaters. He got to hunt in one of his old spots that I have taken over, fun to relive some of the old hunts!

Just back visiting family. He has a daughter still here in town. His son passed last year. He hunts once in a while down south, but pretty much is just all done with it. Enjoys a drop with Cowboy about twice a year now.
I treed a pile of coon over the raspberries in that brushy draw going up excersize hill! THey must make a stop there on the way to the corn.

I went up to Minnesota to pick up a pup and was able to take advantage of a photo opportunity. Here's Tucker with my dog Edge. (Father and son).





Tucker sure doesn't act like he is 13 1/2 years old!!!! That's what my dad and I both said to each other as soon as we got back in the truck to head for home. Nice meeting you John and Alan, looked forward to seeing you down the road again!!! Many Thanks....

Brandon, that should be a super pup. Jill really is a great reproducer, just about every dog that she threw that got a decent chance went on to be a top comp dog and also reproduced. Good luck with him?/her?

I got a female colored much like Edge. I think she's going to have more of a red head. I'm hoping that the broken saddle look doesn't fill in. I like that look, it grew on me...

Hopefully she does make a good comp dog, I definetely have high hopes and I've been seeing a lot of little things that I really like out of a pup her age.

Jake, on vacation this week camping and cabin life. but had to come home for one day so liz could meet up with some muckety mucks at work for a meeting. this gives me the opportunity to hunt two nights. had a good one last night. going tonight closer to your neck of the woods. 8;30 at the big steer?

Jake, you should have pulled in- we just made one turn out there. Had a real hard runner. DK's Sassy treed it in style. Jr seemed to run the track well, but missed it somehow. Knocked it out. Sassy is getting full of pups so we thought one long hard track was enough.

Put another Gr nite Mn state champion win on Cowboy this weekend. D Stoeppelmans Smoke dog won on Friday, we got it on Saturday. tough conditions.


Sam Pauls female looks like she is gonna raise 11 pups successfully. She is a nice hound. These may be Tuckers last pups. We have 4-6 spoken for already. $250 each. They are now 4 days old.

A litter of pups representing my fifth generation of breeding were born at my house today. While I never really thought that I was that much of a Boone fan, these pups have Boone 7 times through three different females, and I think this will be a great cross. Credit goes to Dieter Krause for making this cross. Here is the pedigree.
