Just wanted to pass another testimonial on as well. I have probably 25 dogs and six cats. I use Bayer Tree and Shrub on all my dogs and cats. Getting ALL the animals covered seems to be the answer for me. I have used both Advantage and Frontline in the past but could not afford to apply it to ALL my animals. Since I have been using Bayer I have had NO flea problem at all. I also run the shelter in my county and house approx. seventy to eighty animals at one given time. I was having a ongoing infestation in the cat area of the shelter (fleas laying eggs in bedding and carpet). I was having a pest control company blanket spray two to three times a week with marginal results. I now use Bayer at the shelter and have NO flea problems with NOT ONE side affect. Need I say more????

this was posted on this forum a few years back i have been using it sinse then never had a problem and it does a better job than anything i have usede when you first use it it is strong enough to kill ticks but after 2 weeks on the dog it diesn;t kill ticks.
do not use it on cats i have a cat that rubs on the house dog and she got sick right after i treated the dog never connected it til the same thing happened for a second time the cat recovered but rubbed up against one of the hounds and she isn't rubbing against anything anymore.

BAYER T&S

Best product for flea control and certainly least expensive.

I just want people to know the the new tree and shrub advanced has a ferterlizer added to it and can adversley affect certian dogs.
ive used the stuff for years on my deer/fox hounds with no problems but last summer used it on my house dog lab/bird dog mix and she had major problems.lost all her hair on her backside and along the ribs and shoulders the vet said it was the fertrlizer in the bayer product.now im not sure if the vet was lying or not but i know my dog lost most of her hair.now like i said i never had a problem with it on my hounds but i wont use it anymore

I used it last year and the purple cattle ear tag on there collar for ticks and flies. I put some Frontline on last night becouse I poured some of the bayer on there back out of the bottle and still had flees on my dogs. Might try it again after I get them under control. The purplr ear tags are the best thing since dirt though. Flies just don't mess with them and ticks die...........

I had the same thing happen as Cedarhill. 2 Dos lost lots of hair and had skin problems. Looked like a terrible mite problem. Had to put med. on them for over a year and they both still sometimes break out now. May not have been the Bayer, but I think it was. i now use cattle tags on the coon/squirrel dogs and put store bought dog drops on the pet.

THIS STUFF WORKS.......THIS WILL BE THE 5TH YEAR I have used it ......I have put it on an average of 20 dogs a year and have not had any adverse side affects of any kind.

I usually put a dose on them before flea season and never see any fleas but after a couple of months I will give them another dose just for extra protection.....

If you have fleas and you put this stuff on your dogs YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW FAST IT WILL WORK.......

An older man told me about it a year ago or so ago and I have been using it every since he told me about it... I have ZERO flea and/or tick problems... Thanks for spreading the word... As long as I can buy it off the shelf I will continue to use it...

Bayer

I have went to Ace, Wal-Mart, Briscoes, and Orchelns , and all I can find is the Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub plus feed, and at the bottom of the bottle it says it has a SLOW RELEASE FERTILIZER.

Is this the NEW stuff ?

Yes, the new stuff has fertilizer. They changed the formula last year.

Gordon's Tree and Shrub (Tractor Supply) and Old Dominion Tree and Shrub is the same as the old version of the Bayer Tree and Shrub.

how much are you guys using? i started putting it in a spray bottle and spraying under the legs/belly/neck...seems to work good. putting it on the back (like the other stuff) and then they play and mouth each other playing...did not like that. i do try to give them a bath the day before i put it on tho.
