WBOND, YES A FISHER IS SOMETHING MORE TO BREAK YOUR DOG ON. THEY WILL GIVE YOUNG DOGS A FIT ALONG A CREEK. THEY GO BACK UNDER BANK AND COME OUT FURTHER DOWN. SOME HAVE BEEN TREED. I KNOW A GUY WHO SHOT TWO OUT THEY ARE NASTY. THE FISHER HAD A BULLET IN HIM AND HAD TO FIGHT THREE OLDER HOUNDS. THEY FOUGHT 150 YDS AND ALL THREE DOGS HAD BLOOD COMING OUT OF THEM. THEY FINALLY GOT HIM.

HEATHER, NICE PICKS. KEEP EM COMING WE LIKE SEEING THEM.

CORKY, NICE HUNT. SOUNDS LIKE THE DOGS DID GOOD WORK.

Nice cam pics Heather. That Fisher thing looks like he might bite!

I think I'm going to have to break out a heavy coat here this morning ...49 degrees and windy. Feels quite nippy after being 74 yesterday morning.

IN THE 30'S HERE THIS MORNING AND STILL NO FROST. STILL TRYING TO FIND COON IN ALL THE LEAVES AND WISH I COULD JUST LOOK UP AND SEE THEM IN THE MOONLITE.
I HAD MY THIRD DEER FRONT BUMPER MEETING AND THIS ONE WAS BY FAR THE MOST COSTLY AT $4500.00 AND THEY KEEP GETTING THICKER. MISSISSIPPI GAME AND FISH EXTENDED THE SEASON BY 15 DAYS AND IT IS NOT GOING TO HELP IN MY OPINION. THAT MAKES THE SEASON 4 1/2 MONTHS LONG ALL TOGETHER. THERE ARE JUST NOT AS MANY PEOPLE HUNTING THEM AS THERE USED TO BE AND THE ECONIMY ISN'T HELPING EITHER. ARE THEY BECOMEING A PROBLEM WHERE YA'LL LIVE?

Counting bow season we have a 5 1/2 month season. I think the limit is 12, maybe more now. Most hunters I know will kill 2-4 doe for meat and maybe a good buck if they can. More deer here than ever.

They are not quite as thick as they once were here since they increased the number of does and anterless that could be killed and opened up more of the season to hunt with bows and arrows and primitive weapons, added days etc...in the southern zone anyway, but yes we still have plenty to get in the way as well as deer hunters! This state is all for the deer hunter. Money I suppose.

WHEN I WAS A KID IF YOU SAW A DEER HERE IN TATE COUNTY IT WAS BIG NEWS AND ALOT OF PEOPLE WOULD SAY THAT YOU WHERE LIEING. BUT TODAY YOU ARE GOING TO SEE DEER ON A DAILY BASIS. HECK THEY ARE IN MY YARD ALL THE TIME. USED TO BE WHEN YOU DEER HUNTED YOU HOPED ONE CAME BY. NOW YOU HAVE TO DESIDE WHICH ON YOU WANT TO DRAG.

YES I DO NOT HUNT DEER ANYMORE FOR THAT REASON. I KNOW GUYS THAT WILL FIGHT THEIR BROTHER OVER SOME DEER HUNTING. AND I AM NOT GOING TO PLAY THE DEER HUNTING POLITICS FOR THAT REASON. MY SON GOT HIS FIRST DEER WHEN HE WAS 11 YEARS OLD. A 3 POINT AND ONE OF MY COUSINS ASKED HIM WHEN HE WAS GOING TO GET A TROPHY BUCK. SO WE STARTED HUNTING COON YEAR ROUND AND THAT SAME COUSINS YOUNGEST BOY IS COONHUNTING CRAZY AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT DEER HUNTING AND I THINK IT IS SO FUNNY.

Thanks! Sure, use anything you like. I think we decided that was a Soft-Shell Turtle but I'm not sure.

I remember that time here too! They came in from the Fort Benning Reservation North of us and are now all over the county. A local guy wrote an article for Sports Afield about deer hunting here in Stewart County back during the 70's and out-of-State and county hunters started coming in hunting, buying land, houses and leasing by the droves. Local merchants love the money it brings in.

Thank you! Those were taken with either a Canon 50D or a Canon 5D mark II using different lenses.. according to which one you are looking at. We used 28-135MM, 24-70MM and 100-400MM lens alternated between the two cameras since they are interchangeable. I will give you the details on any picture if you will specify which one.
