Here are my hunt totals for the the fall this year. Not as impressive as the pile of coon you have sitting there but im happy with the hounds. My brother and i have done this since 1999, its a great way to see what your hounds are doing.

Coon Treed - 59Mag, 114Mak, 23Rip, 31Sp, 187Totall, 16Den/ Slick
Slicks 5Mag, 2Mak

Accuracy % - 81%Mag, 96%Mak

Any den where coon can be seen is a tree, and any den with no coon to be seen is docked like a slick.

Mag = Magnum
Mak = Maker
Rip = Ripple
Sp = Speck
T = total coon treed
D/S - Den/ Slick Tree

I never hunt Mag & Maker at the same time. Ripple Always hunts with another dog, Speck Has treed solo himself a number of times. Often times you will see 2Mag and 2Mak means each treed 2 for a total of 4 that night.

In review:

Magnum - Treed 59, Slick/ Den 11 for a 81% Accuracy
Magnum was sold in mid Nov roughly and he has had many more successful hunts netting around an additional 30 to 40 coon.

Maker - Treed 114, Slick Den 5 for an 96% Accuracy
Maker was hunted in a lot of tough moon light nights, cold nites, and just plan tough conditions this year and shinned through them all. He had another accurate year

Ripple - Treed 23. i dont keep track of slicks or dens for the younger dogs as they are not in the drivers seat. She is a work in progress and she is treated as such

Speck - Speck has all the right tools to make a top hound, he has treed a number of coon solo and has done it on moonlight nights, ice covered ground and in the snow. He continues to impress and show me he is his fathers son (Maker) This pup is taking over for Magnum next year so i am hoping for good things. Speck just turned 1 year old this month. This pup has been a natural from day 1, he struck his first nite to the woods, treed the second night, and solo the 3rd nite. i have never given him any sort of training, this has been all natural from day one.

Impressive charting of your dogs true performance! Not many guys would take the time to log this info little lone post it. Great job! It is a true testament to each dogs performance, even if they aren't redbones!! If they were I would guess your % would have been substantially higher!!

i have a nice desk job and im am consistently doing statics work. every morning i come in and sit down update my data. i love to just see what dogs can do. its the only way you can understand what is going on in dogs....

I took advantage of the nice weather. On Christmas night i had 5 dens a road tube that had two coon in it that i saved for a later date. And three singles. Here is a few action photos.

Click above for video...maybe not the hardest treedog ever, but pretty hard in our opinion.....especially considering her age and amount of exposure

Baby (Rock x Star/littermate to Bon Jovi)......8 months old, first night to the woods......blew in there with the other dogs, got struck, located, and locked 'er up. She's accurate, treed coon every night she's been taken to the woods, and loves to split tree.

Looking good! I love seeing a red dog get treed. Someday ill be in the market again for a red dog. By then you should have your line of redbones treeing and skinning the coon for me lol. Its been a great winter for hunting. Ive been hunting a few times since christmas and i gotta say its been a long time since i treed coon in jan. Ripple got a skunk the other night and my 12 month old pup out of maker treed one but had to hunt around me close to 4 miles to hit a track. He got struck and took the track ran it good and got treed in no time. Blessed to enjoy hound hunting. Tell aubrey id like to go out sometime with old collide before he retires him. I sure like that hound!

With all this lovely spring weather, Aub and the kids were ready to get to the woods last night....


Listening to the hounds run track. The kids wanted to try to call the dogs and keep score. I think Dad ended up winning, but fun was had by all.
