Got out lastnight fog & rain was bad / Rat treed me a double / Looked Good ! Other hound I hunted got a porky / had to spend some time pulling quills / Good part about it he only got 2 quills in mouth / all the rest were under him / he ran porky over ! Dang Things !!! Headed for Salem Il today / No more post from me for a week / Now I am gonna say / To all you fellow Coon Hunters Stay out of My Favorite Spots & If you happen to go in them Don't Kill them all / They are NOT PRIME YET & NOT much sence of taking a bunch right now / I have seen over 20 raccoons since the 1st night of season & have only killed a few ! You all know that if I was staying here & you all were going I Would Not Hunt Your Favorite Spot's / So lets keep it that way lol I'll Be Back !

have fun roverdog they aren't prime yet seen 11 so far 1 empty but i don't hunt allnight like you do out and back no coon lastnight got soaked quick like gave up got soaked tonight too but did see 5 tonght 1 empty last tree 2.4 miles 2 coon seen first tree near apple orchard last big oak garmin worked like a million bucks tonight keep runnin boys
Still working on this porky thing. But it think i took care of it last night. I am convinced if you want to hunt porkys get a red dog. She only got a few quills 75 - 100 pulled them and kept huntin. Be safe.
coon hides not in yet doing some small hunting an hour or so but not much more than 2 hours at the most waiting till hides are prime before i stay out all night and hunt then try and work the next day . It has to be worth it......

Hi Zarf some hounds have bad problems getting broke off porky's / the worst hound I had for getting into them was a Plott / this hound killed the last one he got with me & had to be put down / I would say put the fear of god in your hound the next time it gets one / shock whoop whatever & if you cannot get broke of sale to someone that does not have them dang things on their hunting grounds / I have seen a couple hounds that can not be broke off them / carry some vinegar with you & douse the dog with it after pulling quills they do not like it / make them as miserable as possible when ever they get one ! Keep at it

Cold & windy lastnight but got 1 treed with Little Man / My son told me it is going to get down to 22* tonight / That will help in getting them hides prime for the taking ! If you kill small 0r med coons leave them in the woods / keep only the large / jumbo prime hides / dont flood the market with junk hides & Maybe the prices will get back up good again some year !
This isn't the same moron from last year i got rid of him this is a female dog only her 2 nd one i think she got the hint. And atleast i was able to pull the quills and keep hunting.

Hunted lastnight & did not get much / 1 den tree & Rat had that & he had to get out over 900yrds by Himself to get treed / hunted Little Man he gets Attacked by a yote / sent him packing out of woods / I get out to catch him & as I was putting him in box Rich starts hollering get you @#$%^&** dog & that yote was at the truck looking to get some more of Little Man / we heard the fight in woods & Little Man come close to getting his eye poked out the yote bit him in top of face / his eye & everything is good today ! It was COLD & not much moving lastnight / Hope tonight is better !

The Coon Hunting God's are are Not giving it up these past couple night's / Treeing some but not getting to see them TUFF tree's to look in ! / Can Not even see a coon with my light / know were there are a BUNCH of raccoons & it is like they are All Gone / U local hunters get them all while I was gone ? Sold Texas Splitter to a couple local hunters & they got 6 raccoon's a few nights ago CLOSE to my house & I will say If I get another hound here at my house forsale I WILL NOT SaLe TO A LOCAL HUNTER ! But being these guy's like them RedBones & I sold them a Treeing Walker it is OKAY ! lol Hope to SEE a RACCOON TONIGHT !

Rat Got Joey & I one treed last night ! Had a little life in him But Joey got a nice shot on him But he said he had bullets But they were 22cb longs / He uses these when he is hunting around town with Lucy lol Joey is a Good shot as you can see in video above ! Coon are not moving good here / got out 8 leg hold sets yesterday & Nothing & I have them in some GOOD territories ! Sooner or later they should start running Good again ??? Any of you local guys on here how is the hunting right now ??? I have not been out in the early morning hours got done at 2am last night / just wondering if they are coming out late / I will stay out late tonight & find out / Raining good here right now & hope it stops for tonight !

Picture above is a den Rat treed on last night & Joey went up the tree & come falling out backwards looked something in the face that had a pink nose lol Scared him lol Sent him back up to look again & Whatever went down den hole to not be seen again / Rat better hope I don't catch him treeing things with a PINK NOSE / I have seen enough of them things with him ! Now we walked Rat a little off this tree & he went back & I lite him up with shocker & then he left & did not go back ! Good Training Both ways on this tree !

Bones May past the test & Not have to be retired to riding in fire truck ! Got me a couple coon's tonight / Rat tree's a double & got in there a Good half mile to do it & Did Not take long doing it / Looking Good ! Took 3 turns with Bones to get 1 treed / He hunted out good on 2 turns came back & on 3rd turn he found one / Looked & Sounded Mighty Good & Did Not take allnight getting the job done ! Gotta Like them hounds with that Wipeout breeding in them / Most like to have their game ! No hunting tomorrow night for me / Good Hunting to you guys that do get out !

A few pictures I have taken lately. The coons don't seem to be moving to good here. So I am headed north this weekend to shoot some coons. I will hopefully have some pictures next week. Tom I really like bones the times I have hunted with him he has looked good. He is going to be by himself if he gets a chance.

Well last night not the best hunt But a Good Time ! The 2 young ladies have never been coonhunting / Rat made 1 tree .79 away & ended up close to some Mad landowners house / we did not get to look tree over as you will see if you watch video / when we left Rats tree the landowner hollered like he wanted us to come to him & I told everyone keep moving towards the truck & we did & we manage to get out of there without getting chewed on or shot at !!! If I would have been by myself I would have went to this guy / But I did not want to put them kids in a bad situation / Some land owners can get Crazy ! / Then it is Bones turn / He ends up in somebody's front yard treed & this guy meant us in his White Sibbie's lol But Was Not Mad lol We did a couple more turns & have nothing to show / The coons are not moving good here / Nothing in my leg hold traps & they are in some prime coon areas / Well Maybe it is the hounds or my trapping skills lol I say Not Moving !

hi to all been hunting hard all fall training 3 young dogs coon not moving much this past week small coon only good pup training can't train them if you don't take them to woods. archery hunters next door seeing coon early mornings most days sammy made nice tree lastnight had the meat she is turning the corner she is tight on track something i personally don't like may change with time?? just taking young dogs leaving big guns at home boring some nights but thats what it takes to make a coondog!!! good hunting

..................Rat Treed 8:30 AM Somewhere In Pa.....................
Got 1 turn Mon night & it ended up a Allnighter / Garmin collar shuts off on Rat at just over 300yrds / wind blowing bad the whole night / in Canyon Country / Makes for the kind of elements to loose a hound in / StumpJumper & I did look & listen Allnight / go home at 5:00am & get a call at 6:30am / Farmer has Rat found & he is treed with a Big Coon / I head out Get there at 8:30am & video above is where Rat was found / The Good I got Rat back & even Better / The Farmer heard Rat Treeing at 5:30am when he went to barn to do chores & 6:30am he decides to drive to Rat to see what dog is doing / Farmer calls me getting # off collar / leaves Rat goes back to barn & Rat does not miss a beat on tree till I get there / Treed for the minimum of 3hrs !!! Could have been there Allnight ! Stay Put Rat ! / This Farmer had 4 kids with him they Liked Rat alot & they got to shoot coon down to him & then go to school ! These guys are Mennonites & Sure enough are Good People ! Am Not sure Why Garmin collar shut off but will be putting my Marshal collar on for backup for now on That is Forsure ! Long Night
The Raccoons Still are not moving good the places I have been hunting / Any of you local guys seeing the same thing or are you all treeing alot ??? I have yet to catch any in my leghold traps ???
Hi groworg1 The line your Sammy is out of can be a little tight on track / have seen it in a couple other related hounds / Not a bad thing having a tight mouthed hound coon hunting you will get more & Quicker that is forsure !

Here we go Mother Nature is finally giving it up with these raccoons / Bones got coon above In Style last night / got on in there got struck & ran coon Fast & Slammed the Tree / Located 3 times & Rolled it into A Nice Chop / Treed Right / & The place he treed this coon was a Nightmare Briars Wall to Wall Bad / Looked Good ! Joey hunted with me again last night & I would say He Is Hooked ! I am working on Joey to watch His Mouth while video is running NO SWEARING lol Now you guys take a close look at Bones Raccoon / It is a Gaint & Bones & I were stuck with this Giant Raccoon Alone under tree while this Giant was still alive / Waiting for Joey to get back to us with gun to finish off / Bones held him by his leg till Joey got Back lol Biggest Raccoon I have seen in a Long Time ! This Bones Hound Gets My Blood Flowing In Right Direction & With More Hunting Time He Will Make For A Nice Coon Hound & Will Be Tuff To Beat / You Local Guys Pay Attention / Couple Local Guys Own Him & I Am Sure You Will See Bones In Some Local Hunts & You Will Get to See What I Am Saying & Some Others / I Like Bones !!!
