Good evening gang . Weather been up and down here. Rain, sun, heat and cold. Didn't do much at all this weekend. I have been watching the llws on espn2. Been some great games.
English Bob called today and he said work is going great. He was telling me that they got him doing the grunt work. Just to see if he'll stick in there. And the best news is he loving the mountains.
Corky feeling alot better. Just couldn't eat anything for about two days. Still don't have a no desire to eat.
Rob great pics. Now I need to figure it out.

John how's things your way ? About time to get that new girl in the woods. Chase season on public land came in yesterday and bear also.

had a great fishing trip with the kids my guess is they caought in two days close to 175 fish...lot of them small but they didnt care, keep most all over 12 to 14 inches and going to have a fish fry soon...Brooke my youngest on the right, my niece Amber in the middle, and Sara a friends daughter on the left, caught mostley Croaker, a few Spot, one bluefish and two sheepshead

Good morning all,
Linkous nice pics.
I have tried to the two past weekends of fishing in Smith Mountain lake. Nothing at all. Told my wife that all the little fish are toys just so people think there are fish in there.
Well Juice looks like she is going to pop any day. 63 days from the first time she was bred will be Sunday the 18th. So just have to make it through this week.

Michael & Shawn - She should be completely out of heat by this weekend, I plan on taking her out.

Dave - sounds like the kids had a blast. I love taking kids fishing and watching them catch fish.

Michael - I hope all goes well with the upcoming litter. My wife didn't care one way or another about getting chickens. She did say I wasn't allowed to get a rooster.

Don't no how his going to turn out yet. So far so good. Heck of a tree dog and only had him on two tracks so far. Before you ask I no he has some hofmister on top and some old fireball on the bottom. Should have his papers back hopefully next week. Been keeping him my little secret for the last month. Really got him for my daughter to show but i've been working him pretty hard. Taking him and my pup out tonite with the old girl.

Hello to ALL! Prayers to all in need! EXTRA prayers for your friend, Joe on the loss of his wife...esp. to Bob who always prays HARD for fellow widowers...

Shannon, I don't have TIME or energy to email anyone now that mum is FINE! LOL... I also don't take the comp there on weekends so that kills off a couple days....

Had amazing weekend with mum! My Goodness we pruned and Pruned and PRUNED! 2 or 2 1/2 hrs Sat and I did more than that Sunday...she did less and collapsed in the shade of front door stairs while I went nuts finishing up... lol The first day Bob came in the PM and we were outside still, pruning azaleas and rhodedendrons... he helped and weeded out some big TREES in the back of some beds... lol... then he and I went in and tackled the stove vent hood...it was DRIPPING grease! We finally ended up soaking the 2 filters in DRANO! lol.. it said to use MILD soap or deterg... but it only got soft enought to get off with a knife! LMBO... We finally got the filters kinda clean.. and I actually found the missing part of the vent hood on Sunday am... that will help keep grease from dripping..it had apparently been in the basment for YEARS! lol.. We got dinner in while soaking filters... and I got to bed at midnight...
Woke Sunday AM and Mum was gona get up early to go PRUNE! LOL.. she would NOT get up...and was too slow for me and I finally left her inside to get dressed... took a step ladder to the sidewalk, climbed on the brick wall(scared to death of heights mind you)....and I tackled her incredible crab apple that drapes over the wall.. a tree many stop to photograph... it had been pruned by the tree men...but was growing suckers... WOW.. I am battered bruised an sore from being IN the tree, on the wall, in the azaleas under the tree... having battle with Mums OLD pole pruner(made for BIG STRONG TALL men)... LOL... I will say.. I did a GREAT job and am HAPPY with the results...and I EARNED the battle scars! LOL...
I had a BLAST and so did mum! Hands are sore... and covered with holes from rose and holly thorns...but I feel GOOD!
OH, AND... I LIKE the new type of Ritalin. I feel good and more like myself... I'm still fatigued etc...but not exhausted all the time! I also don't get the jitters like I didn with the old stuff when it built up and wore off..... YAY!
OK.. I can't recall all the other stuff on here... but I read it all! lol...

I brought all the decoupage material with me to mums.. but it sat there abandoned... LOL... Gotta garden while the weather is good... it makes my Mum seem like a young woman again... SIGH... have I told you all how AWESOME this extra time with her is?

I new I was going to catch it. If it helps it was my daughters decision. She had only two choices a blue are red hound. Her brother wanted her to get a blue and she decided on the redbone. My bluedogs are still first in my heart but he'll be treated like family. I blame it on Corky, vabluegal, mike and Dan. If I didn't go to tri counties to hang out with them she would have never seen the field trials and wanted to do it. lol (sounds good) heehee



Decided not to turn loose tonight. The mountain was full of trucks and heard two different groups of hounds.

Shannon daddy girl has him rapid around her pinky. Plus it doesn't matter if it was pink as long as it gets her in the woods and away from BOYS!!!!!!

Thank you rob !! I'm very grateful for your info !! I don't know much about plot hounds so I have no idea how to direct her .. Her husband use to hunt a walker ... But he passed away last year..
