I m not use to this 20 below windchill.Hounds seem to be taken it good.all are fat and ready to be turned loose. Its gonna be awhile before that happens.
Forecast show even colder weather for begining of next week.I m ready for spring.

Cabin fever has been setting in this year prolly more for the most of us and it has been good talking and texting all you guys and gals.
I want to Thank all of you for all the kind words and letting me know how your Mosquito Creek Blu Hound did for you this last hunting season.I m hearing from most of you track speed and accuracy and I picked up the words Stringed em out behind them.
Ol Duke had been there and went on and Bam treed 100 yards with the meat.
I don`t know how many times I heard I can`t wait til it gets dark.I ve heard form man I thought she was trashing on a deer she ran it so hard then music to my ears Big Long Dying Bawl locates.

I was talking to a young man I admire from up north in the freezer of U.P. Michigan.He said I sold a man a few hounds and he was building up his pack of hounds.he said the man went here and there the last three years adding to his pack.The man went on and said i`m back to where I started...I bought from the best advertised the most recommended houndsmen in the United States and Canada.I still havn`t found anything that will stay with the hounds I bought from you.That to me would make my day as a breeder.THAT MY FRIEND IS A STAMP OF ACCOMPLISHMENT !!!

I know John is proud of this litter and he has them in a heated area and you can tell they are well takin care of.Yancy did you get a cat hunt lined up & I think John said one of those females in that litter will line up great with Moose.
Are you still catching those Gills? Nothing better this time of year.

I assure you he is a real deal pleasure hound everytime you turn him loose.Not perfect, but sure has put alot of smiles on my face he has won all over the country even with me handling him.
He has the traits & looks of a Smokey River Hound and when you see him in person he is more impressive not a mean hair in him and thats the kind of hound I want and will promote.
His offspring are raising some eyebrowls.most having Big Mouths and finishing out to be balanced track & tree hounds.
Billy,Last year Kid and I did do good and it surprises me for I didn`t have him in shape because of all the overtime with my job.

I did mate Powder to Kid and Croix will be mated to Kid also.I m excited about both crosses.Croix`s pup will be triple Tree Daddy and double Stinger.nothing like stacking the deck.

Zeb is doing great our weather hasn`t been fit for coon hunting.gonna start hauling him to the woods soon.he has a big bawl mouth and a great looking pup also.Mae is a special hound with good breeding behind her she is everything I asked for.

I purchased Croix to breed to Kid.She has a loud high pitched mouth and hunts hard,deep strikes her tracks as she comes to them.Loud high pitched ringing chop mouth tree dog.I have plans on finishing Croix to Dual.she is in heat now and will be mated to Kid. Its High and Tight.I`m looking for well balanced hound s strike to tree with good carring mouth on them in this cross.with awesome looks to boot.
This might be the tightest cross i`ve ever made.Anybody that might want a part of this give me a call.pups will be performance paid up.

I think this cross with Kid and Croix will be a good one.Balanced loud mouth track to tree coon dogs.I had to try it at least to see for myself.Many different ways to go with Croix. I had to try another close related cross.Kids mother Tree Mamma Sis is turning out to be a exceptional reproducer.I`ve had the pleasure of hunting with a handful of her 22 offspring.All seem to have a knack to get treed quick with the meat and they all seem to have decent mouths on them.Cool Hand Luke might be the loudest of the bunch.
Doubling Stinger and tripling Tree Daddy two nice reproducing game hounds I had the pleasure of having here.Should be some real fireballs come out of this mating.
The Tree Daddy hounds seem to be looking to get treed and the Stinger offspring were looking for a track to run. Kid seems to have both in him and is a good balance of both.
I`m high on Croix and sure glad I have her here I let her grandma Honey get away and always regreted it.Its good to have a piece of the puzzle back.

Looks like were getting ready to get this cross with JAKE x JILL.on the way with her being in heat now.
Jill being off of EBJ and Jake off of Cheif.I`m excited about this cross also these ought to be a Bear Hunter Dream cross.
This will be the first time Jake frozen semen has been used.Jake was collected may 2003.
My hounds are looking and acting good even tho the females hormones are out of control with the heat cycle`s. Gonna get out of the house and enjoy the weather.

went on a little hunt last night took Kid`s half sister Ruby and Diamond.Looked at two singles and a den, both did good.
Ruby was bred to Kid last summer and pups should make nice ones.
I havn`t hunted Diamond for awhile her heat cycle and bad weather.She matured and looked good again.I think she is going to make me a nice hound and real easy on the eyes.

Thanks for the calls and text on the pics of these two hounds.They both love attention and I`m look forward to getting to run these two for years to come.
I was lucky to get Diamond and Croix bought both are top prospects and I think both are gonna set me up with crosses for years to come.I Thank You John Gill and Dan Roiser for giving me a jab at both hounds.
