Thanks everybody. Feb has been a fun month for me at the hunts. I was figuring up today Smokes been in 9 Nt Ch hunts and won 4, was cast winner in all but 2. Which was prob more human error. If your looking for a good dog to hunt and be competitive with, I would recommend a John II (Turk) dog. We got two that are great and a 7 week old pup on the way.

Went hunting last night with Big Brother, Guy Denhe, Brian Hutchison and Art Lee, had a good time and seen several coon. Coon moved good early but when that heavy frost fell things got tough and the dogs had to cover a lot of country.............Tim

Got home at 8:00 so Timmy and I took Smoke over on the Missouri side. I've had better hunts and Smoke has looked better than he did last night but he put one up. Coon seemed to move early.
Got news last night that Mad Dog Lincoln died, Danny did'nt know what happened just found him dead in the dog box. He was going to be a good one. Danny said that the male pup out of Turk is going to be a good one too just needes to hunt him alot this summer. Later .......Roy

Looks like people are liking what they are seeing out of the "Turk" pups that are around. It looks like about 10 to 12 of his pups will be in the hunts this Spring and around 8 to 10 this fall. Thats not to bad concidering the majority of his pups are under 6mos old. Several outstanding females are already booked to be bred this year, some for the second time. "Turk" pups are making Treedogs that actually Tree Coon.........Tim

Talked to Troy Young this AM, he had another good hunt last night with his neighbor who has a young female from Turk x Hillbilly Millie. Troy says that he has seen this year old split tree and have the meat and look good doing it. His neighbor plans on putting her in her first hunt tonight. Good look to all of them.........Tim

Thanks Lance, Dana, and Barry. Timmy has done a good job workin Smoke and getting him ready. I'm proud of them both.
Timmy has really been dedicated to hunting Smoke as much as he can and it made a world of difference. Smoke is looking pretty tuff right now. He has won 7 out of 9 cast with 4 wins toward Grand. So far he has been able to get at least one coon off to himself on each hunt and somtimes two. We are having a blast.......Roy

Tim how did you do tonight. My daughter and I ended up not going to desoto, my dad wasnt feeling well so we stayed close to home took hoss just down the road treed three on the outside and one den in a couple hours.Took a guy with us it was his first time going said he was wore out my daughter Jesse told him while laughing then dont go with my brother T.J. cause he dont stop at 10 oclock. Smoke got the win! The way Timmy talked Smoke got the first one by himself and got the major part of the next three then shut them out on the last tree. 700 plus no minus and I think he said the others came in with 350.
Robin didn't do any good. They made 6 or 7 den trees, never seen a coon.

is produceing. I think what seems to be over looked is the fact that Turk is throwing coon dogs and they are out of many different females. Yea Smoke is out of an exceptional cross that the whole litter made dogs, but I'm seeing a whole lot of young dogs comming on that are showing that Turk is the comman denominator. Iv'e allways believed the female was the major player in breeding but I am beginning to see Turk throw coon dogs no matter what female he is bred to. I'm super impressed with my young female out of Turk X Lou, Smoke is out of Turk X Noodles, Ranger is out of Turk X Mia( can't remember how to spell her name), and the list goes on and on.
Everybody might want to take a second look when your female comes in and consider Turk.
