Thanks Bill & Krista for the update & video on Thunder. Thunder just turned 1 year old and is off of Tater x Dice. Aubrey had him out just one night (and he ran and treed with Tater) before Bill got him, and now Bill's had him out a few nights by himself, and he's doing a nice job solo, especially for a pup. We're looking forward to seeing him and Bill tear it up.....they'll be a force to be reckoned with! I reposted the video below, a few people didn't realize it was a video.

Jesse, sorry to hear about Smoke. These dogs get old on us awful fast it seems.

Hey Buck!!.....what's it that you like? An "on the wood" treedog, or dogs that have the name Buck?

A quick update from the home front.....Aub took Frog (Ox x Chance) out for a drop with Tater x Dice tonight. She participated on track, and settled in nice on the tree. She's got a ways to go, but pretty encouraging for her 2nd night out. She just turned 1 as well.

A BIG Congrats to Zeb Holkesvik and PR Coon Machine Sir Walter (Rip x Rose) on their 2nd place win at Decorah last night!!! Zeb and Walter are new to the competition thing, but are doing a great job and are a great team! Great job guys!

Aub took the old man last night, current #1 reproducer, NITECH GRCH Two Worlds Collide. He told me it was pretty cool to load up Clyde, his pup (Dice), and his grandpup (Cherry). At almost 10 years old, and after sitting in the pen all year, the old guy can still really push a track, and when he loads up on the tree, it's over. Here's a few pics:

Aub had another exciting night tonight. First off, he took Abram squirrel hunting, and the young sharp shooter knocked his first one out. Boy was he excited!

Later the kids and Aubrey took Ox, Rattle, and Chips for a run. Ox has been sitting mostly since last hide season, Rattle and Chips both just came out of heat, and this was only Chip's second night to the woods. Dogs did a nice job, ran a good track, and the coon was up in the tree. Chips opened nice on track, threw some die-bawl locates, and treed really nice. She just turned 1 year, and is off of NITECH FCH GRCH Red Ryders Red Fever Tater and NITECH GRFCH GRWCH GRCH Red Fever Gangsters Pair A Dice......she is a littermate to Thunder that Bill Gudgeon's been hunting.

Kill season is coming up on us quick, so Aub's working on getting everybody ready. It was Tater and Foxxy's turn last night...they ran a colder track, heated it up, and put a coon on the end of it.

Quick update.....

Aub took our 8 month old Rock (Rip x Rose) and Star (Clyde x Boo) pup out for her first hunt last night. She opened up on the track with the older dogs, and locked it down treed on the tree....despite the fact that it was a brushy mess. Aubrey couldn't even hardly get in there to it.

quick update on lilly, she is back on track. took her out friday and sat night, two drops each nite and 2 tracks and 2 trees. not bad for just turning 5 months on the 8th. tell u what that high xpectations walker is throwing some early starting dogs!! looks like natural ability is high in her. a few more weeks and ill put her away till next spring. i dont want to burn her out, and i want to keep protected till she gets bigger.

Aub took old Ripper out with some pups Monday night. And by "with some pups", I mean the 2 and 4 legged kind. He took a 8,7,6,5, and 3 year old coonhunting, with 3 dogs, by himself. He never ceases to amaze me!

Nice updates, guys! We've been enjoying them. Dogs are looking good! In case you were wondering......No, we haven't dropped off the face of the earth completely....we're still hanging on by a thread! It's been pretty busy to say the least.

Got an update from Tim Chase. He got another 1st place win on CH FCH Crazy Mtn. Deva (Ox x Rose) and NITECH GRCH Crazy Mtn Big Hunk Joe (Rip x Rose) got another win toward GRNITCH. Congrats Tim!

I also received this picture from Josh Wilson, looks like he had a nice opening night with Digger (Rip x Joy) and GRCH Red Fever Annie's Razor Girl "Maggie".

Coon season opened this past weekend, and Aub's been rotating them as much as possible. He's been real pleased so far with the pups he's been hunting. Every morning when I go out to feed I have more dogs cut up from coon and fences, or limping ......yup, coon season is here!

So my "Sweetie" took me on a date last Friday night! He even let me pick my mule and my dogs too! We had a lot of fun, I got to see Clyde go for the first time in probably 5 yrs, they caught 2 on the ground, I got to witness Aub's shooting skills.....it was all very entertaining! Here's a couple pics.....

First coon of the night, they ran her around the cornfield for a while and then caught her in the woods

The last drop I had the GREAT idea that we should just walk to the dogs....it looked like nice flat pasture in the dark, and it was only 300 yds....well, once we got going, it turned into long, thick grass, marshy, bull weeds, multi-flora rose mess. They split treed, shot 2 big coon out, and Aub had to carry the coon out, so I had the rest.....we sure missed the mules on the way back!
