Smoke is reproducing better than I could of hoped for. More important he's producing coondogs that we like to hunt. Currently he has 91 pups with 5 being nt chs. 3 of those have 2-3 wins toward Grnite. There's also a female with a first and a male with a 3rd that should finish to nt ch shortly. I also know of 7 other dogs that haven't been to town but could make nt ch pretty easily if given the chance. We will be having a litter out of him in June that will hopefully get him to 100 pups and should go on the current reproducers list. If he had his 100 pups he would be 8 or 9 th on the list.

we are proud of what we are seeing out of the Smoke pups in the woods. They are showing that Smoke is reproducing compition style dogs that are winning. We like what we are hunting and are having great success.
We are pursuing the big hunts and not any of the small local hunts.
Evaluation at the end of the year will tell the verdict. LOL

We might make the fall round up. Just haven't been hunting this summer.
Tim is done with hay now but cattle work has not slowed down.

Terry Hansen called and Smokin Hickory made Dual Grand.
Dean Wood has a 7 month old pup out of Smoke and Wendy that is making a coon dog. He has already had him in a club hunt.
We have sold all of our pups out of Smoke and only have two young males that we will pound this winter. If we ever start hunting again. LOL
If I can make a connection to get a ride near Mark and Corey, I will be sending Grand Nite Ch Robin to them under lease to be bred to Dual GrNiteCh Riptide. She isn't due to come in season till Nov. but sending her early to make sure we catch her in time.

I am starting my nerve blocks this wensday and am scheduled for a nerve ablation on both sides of my spine the 21st of Sept. Doc thinks he can get me back to walking in the woods. Hoping for a miracle from the Lord on that one.

Good luck with your medical procedures. Hope everything goes well, so you can get back in woods. Nothing worse than back issues/pinched nerves to slow someone down from hunting- been there, done that myself. Timmy is going to be skinny enough, he'll blow away in a strong wind, if you aren't able to help him get the dogs in the woods. Take care, Ron.

Roy I hope the treatments work out for you. I know what it is like to have pain all the time as both of my knees are shot and have been told they need replaced for the last two years but trying to hold on as long as I can because you never know how a surgery will turn out. We do appreciate you even considering us to lease Robin. We are only looking for select bitches to breed to that is a coon dog and a good background as well! It is hard enough to get a good one even when you select breed, much less breeding to worthless ones.

Well Roy, Ol Robin pulled one out tonight. 1st dump, 1st and 1st on a coon. 2nd drop, 3rd strike and 1st tree off by herself with a coon. Last drop she had 3rd strike and time ran out. Ended up with 400 plus no minus or circle. Robin was High scoring dog of the hunt.

And to top it off Paul won Nitech with Ralph with 225 plus and 450 circle.

We gonna give it another try tommorow night. Ol Charlie wants a rematch agian with bud.

Roy dad said we found something she likes to eat she ate the whole pound of fried livers we had for her when she got done hunting. Lol
