Had a warm front move thru today with a bunch a rain. Weather forecast callin for another deep freeze for the next 2 weeks so figured better hit the woods tonite. The coon seemed to b movin. Heres a couple snaps of hanna.

That is a good looking tree dog. There are some young Tide hounds in my area that I have been hearing about. They seem to be really coming on. They are out of Tide and a female Dave Sellers owned of bluelabelkennel.

The previous pics on here of the big male pup called CHIP is out of Dave Sellers female. Still young but looks promising.

Sounds good Damon. Sometime around the end of Febuary or the 1st part of march Im bringing Hanna back down to Freds for a while to see how she does in the hills. I will b at freds for a night or 2 if ya get a chance to come over for a visit.
Dave, he is a good looker. Fred says Ruby is crankin good, he needs to take the camera and get some pics to put up here. Would like to hear the updates on how some of the others r doin.
Im coming down the last weekend in febuary to bring hanna down for a while. Would normaly b bringin Tide back up home but I think hes gona stay in Ohio for a while for some females to hopefully get bred. Maybe come back to Canada after bluetick days. Its up to Fred, hes the Boss Man!

Was just talking to my buddy Sandridge about Tide, He said you better know where O Tide is before you start to him, said he may sound 200 yds and be 2000 yds.
Earlier in this thread last year I posted we had bred "Solid Northern Jamm Up Ginny" to Tide. At that time she did not catch. It was a last minute decision and we had no clue where she was at in her heat cycle. We had alot of interest in pups at the time. If the interest is still there then we are considering paying closer attention to her this year and trying again.
I bought Ginny off Paul Currie as a yearling, put a hide season on her and sold her to John Huringa. He is 100 percent a pleasure hunter and only put her in a couple hunts in her life when I talked him into it. She won a cast last year at blu days. This winter John came down with some unfortunate health problems and sold her to Dean Link, another local pleasure hunter. Shes sat most of the winter and we talked Dean into entering her in her 1st pkc cast the other night and she took home the money.
She is just a solid well rounded coondog. Gets struck quick, runs track with a big screaming ball that carries great big locate and mixed chop bawl on tree. As stated before she has always been owned by a pleasure hunter and has never been pushed into rock hard condition. But in my opinion if she ever was and taken to town she would fair out just fine.

Alot of grntch ch solid northern otis in this potential cross. Tide is a son of otis and Ginny is a granddaughter on her bottom side. On Ginnys top side shes out of Nch Solid Northern big chief, who goes back alot to pauls GRntch coonman who was out of Northern Blue sampson(Brother to Levi)

All pups from this cross that were givn a fair shake have made some kind of coondog to our knowledge. I belive Damon is makin the cross again this week. Anybody interested in a pup giv him a shout.
