Another example of big money corporate ties with organized crime /terrorism: The Carlisle Group of which former Presidents' Bush are on the B.O.D.---Osama bin Ladin was also big in the group till 9-11.

Dead in the water

Talks over the UN Arms Trade Treaty fell apart today, effectively killing the agreement. The Arms Trade Treaty Legal Blog reports that the process seemed to be moving to completion when the United States requested an extension to the time allotted to negotiate the agreement. This opened the door to other countries to begin registering more complex objections, and it soon became clear that reaching agreement within the allowed timeframe would be impossible. The proposed treaty, which raised considerable domestic opposition from gun rights advocates in the United States, died before it had a chance to become a threat. As a delegate from China observed, "C'est la vie et la vie c'est ça."

The UN may take up the matter at a later date, but for now it is on indefinite hiatus.

Gun Control Treaty

4 years ago the cry was if Obama makes it it office our gun ownership is
history. 4 years later after he's been in office it is same thing. Owning a
gun is not going to make our streets safer. But if you really think about
what sane person would want anyone to be able to buy assault weapons
as soon as they gets upset about something. Wake up people. These are the real weapons of mass destruction. As for the economy the high oil prices and jobs being shipped out and trucked out of the country is the number one problem. And I don't mind telling anyone I voted for Bush
I also voted for obama. But there is no way I will be voting for Mitt unless
he can prove he was not in control of Bane when the jobs were shipped
out to other countries No matter how long ago it was. I am another casualty of plant closing and being shipped out of the US. Everytime a business closes or have to lay off employees it hurts the economy. layed off people don't have money to buy goods.
I own guns and hunt but I don't own people killers which is what assault weapons are. Can someone please explain to me why assault
weapons need to be owned by citizens of this country? Does a right to
bear arms, mean a right to bear assault weapons explosives and ect.
Get real.

One purpose of the second amendment is to prevent an out of control Govt. from being able to controll the People. A well armed citizenry In the eyes of the framers would help assure that we had a Govt that was controlled by the citizens.

WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHICH JOBS TO WHICH YOU REFER, IT'S HARD TO KNOW!!! I'VE SEEN REPORTS THAT SHOW HE WASN'T A PART OF BAIN WHEN CERTAIN THINGS HAPPENED, BUT THOSE MIGHT NOT BE THE SPECIFIC JOBS YOU MENTIONED!!!

I don't own an assault rifle but will probably find a used one to buy before the crap hits the fan. I've always wanted to kill hogs with one. They are the devil.

WHY DO YOU INSIST ON CALLING CERTAIN FIREARMS 'ASSAULT WEAONS'??? THAT PHRASE HAS BEEN ERRONEOUSLY USED BY THE ANTI GUN LOBBY TO BRAIN WASH PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING CERTAIN FIREARMS ARE 'EVIL'!!! THE ONLY WAY A WEAPON IS AN 'ASSAULT WEAPON' IS FOR IT TO BE USED TO 'ASSAULT' SOMEONE!!! IF THAT SAME WEAPON IS USED TO DEFEND A FAMILY FROM AN INTRUDER, SHOULDN'T WE CALL IT A 'DEFENSE WEAPON'??? USE THAT SAME WEAPON TO HUNT, IT IS A HUNTING WEAPON!!! AS TO ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION OF 'WHY', THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS FOR AN ARMED CITIZENRY, BUT THE FIRST PLACE I WOULD TELL YOU TO LOOK WOULD BE THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE!!!

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A RIGHT TO ASSAULT ANYONE, NO MATTER WEAPON OF CHOICE!!! AS TO THE LIST OF AVAILABLE 'ARMS', IT WOULD SEEM LOGICAL THAT THE FOUNDERS WANTED ACCESS TO THE SAME LEVEL OF WEAPONRY AS THEIR GOVERNMENT SO AS TO BE ABLE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM IT AND OVERTHROW IT, IF NECESSARY!!!

SIR, YOU CAN REACH OUT TO SOME, BUT YOU JUST CAN'T QUITE REACH THEM. THEY JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. DYNAMITE WAS ONCE USED TO BLOW OUT TREE STUMPS, BRING DOWN BUILDINGS, AND IN SOME CASES TO GET FOOD, TILL BAD PEOPLE WANTED TO KILL PEOPLE WITH IT. BAD DO BAD, GOOD DO GOOD,WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO SEE.

THE LAWS WERE WRITTEN A LONG TIME AGO, AND THE ASSAULTING HAS NOT STOPPED TO THIS DAY.
THANK GOD FOR GIVING THE FOUNDING FATHERS THE WISDOM TO SUSTAIN FREEDOM THIS LONG. OUR LIGHT WAS TO SHINE BRIGHT, BUT THERE ARE SOME THAT HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PUT IT OUT FOR QUITE A WHILE. ITS TIME TO CLEAN THE DUST OFF AND GET HOUSE IN ORDER.

GOOD NEWS IS, DAY IS COMING WHEN THERE WILL BE NO ASSAULTS OF ANYKIND, WHETHER SOME LIKE IT OR NOT.

Gun Control Treaty

Yeah when the first amendment was written they had no
Idea that our weapons would evolve to the rapid fire
massive killing weapons we have today. Don't get me wrong I love my guns as much as the other hunters and use them for that purpose only. but I don't see why anyone would need the military rifles on the streets today. how many people would be alive that were at that movie if that guy had a muzzle loader. Who needs a military rifle and for what reason should be the question. Just go out and buy one to kill innocent unarmed people. I know any firearm can kill but just not so many so quick as a military firearm. These weapons should be used only by our military for wars. I also know making laws to control the sale of certain guns is not going to stop the sell or distribution of assault weapons but it could help prevent some of the needless crowd mutilations if they were more closely monitored.

Blame the loony tune behind the weapon, and not the weapon. You can buy military looking. 22s. Tell me how that is different then a ruger 10/22? I will tell you, cosmetics and that is it.

Right on. Just the kind of thinking crazies have gunning down unarmed people out to enjoy them selves. It sure was a lot of fun being so destructive no one can tell me what to do I have freedom. By the way I am sorry I upset you I just asked a question. I don't know you but I still love you. Peace be with you. People that learn to shoot don't need a 100 round Mag to hit a target so no I a never shot one never needed a hundred round Mag to hit what I was shooting at. But thanks for asking. I really don't care if you own one but you know as well as I do that they were made to shoot people with even though your purpose maybe different that's what they were made for.
