Did not make it south this weekend. I stuck around home and started cleaning out my small garage. Going to tear it down and replace with a 40'x60 shop with a 12'x60 lean-to with concrete this next month. Plan on placing my dog kennels under the lean-to. So I had to get started on the process before construction can happen. Thinking this weekend about slipping over the Higginsville if all possible.

Brian I did not make it, the family had other ideas for me So we stayed close to home and had a good family evening together, never enough of those. I will be trying my luck tomorrow night at Marshall both nights and then the next weekend in Praire Home. Hoping those will be all I need, time and luck will tell!!

You betcha Elmo Overton. So my plans have all went south as in hitting all these hunts like I have wanted. Mann and I did not do any good Friday night at Marshall. Had unexpected family in the night of the RQE. Last nigth did not make to Praire Home, stayed close to home and made a couple drops in the rain. Now if the rain will only drizzle or stop by this evening I plan on heading to down to Cotton for the second night of hunt and show. Mann deserves the chance to finish this comp season.

Well Mann and I did no good Saturday in Praire Home. We missed the show by 3 minutes It had drizzled all day and stopped about hour before dark. Then it started in off and on the remainder of the evening. Tracks were tough, I called Mann wrong twice, I jumped the gun knowing he wasnt settled and he wasnt. Then he did a very unusual thing and set a tree up right and then left? He was right to leave it but to set down on it for a couple minutes was a new one for me...hounds? Needless to say it was going to take a ladder full of coons for us to climb out of the hole! We made one more drop and Mann slipt over the opposite side of the hill from the other two hounds and fell treed on two coons. Needed another for positive points. Oh well, cannot seem to win them all.
Hunting has been good around home, dogs look good, young dogs working nicely. Going to try to hit a local hunt/show this weekend.

He is very quiet keeper. No shock collar need. I have had him out twice so far. He is getting use to the dogs. He isn't sure if he wants to pack with them or not yet.
Time will tell. I'm on vacation all next week so he and I will get some woods time in for sure.
RQE in Macon next week. I'm sure you will be making that trip.

Tucker's Mann is here for inspection!
Mann comes from a long line of proven reproducers and winners if you examine his pedigree. If you like the "old Utchman" blood and don't mind a little older Jet blood sprinkled into the gene pool then here you go. Mann has made me a nice hound and if the good Lord willing and luck will have it will make me my 3rd generation of Dual Grand "Grand Sire, Sire and son". I am sure I can give you a few hunters to speak with about Mann's hunting ability. So I will not go into anymore detail on that department.
Mann does deserve a shot at reproducing a few litters. The one litter on the ground are now 1yr old and have heard great reports on many of these young hounds. Mann should do nothing but help improve our breed. Give me a call, come see him go, gather your own opinion! Then we can talk turkey on breeding rights. I am sure the deal will be very pleasing to most

No win for Mann and I at the Macon RQE Saturday. He did a good job splitting from the three walker females with his own coon. But he just would not commit to a couple trees quick enough to keep us in the race. Not sure what was up with him, he is usually faster than that. Those walker females had no problem with it. But hounds are hounds and we are just not going to win everyone...darn it!
