Copperhaedcreek..... Thank you for your service to our country. Because i support an individuals right to carry you have called me an idiot and yet you claim to support the 2nd ammendment?

You admit to being frightened by the possibility that someoe you draw out with might be armed and i would suggest to you that any bad situation that might arise during a hunt is probably gonna come from someone other than a cast member.

I Would guess from your posts that you are probably a big ol boy that enjoys bullying people and if thats the case you are probably right to be scared if you draw me.

Wild Bill,

I don't think it is scrap metal from the war.

Desert Storm there was what? One casualty?

Totally different than what our troops today and back in nam/wwII endured.

And John Dummer, I am a gun control nut. I've got good control of every weapon I own. I am a firm believer in the constitution and the right to bear arms. Again common sense has to come into play. If you think you should be able to carry one anywhere you want, then try to enter our courthouse with one and see if you make it through the metal detector. Then enjoy your visit to the crossbar hotel and tell all those badges about your rights.
I've said all I'm going to say so just have at it. You have already shown your lack of common sense and it's not hard to spot men whose wives won't let them win an argument.
Happy hunting and shoot straight.

i guess i'm too old too be scared too,but then i was never scared of anything that i can see when i was younger neither ,,

as for determined to pack a weapon on a cast ,,it dont matter if i got a gun in my pocket or an inkpen, lead chain , or have on my #12d stealtoed boots on,,they all can be used as a weapon if i have to,,

as for the law about courthouses, anybody with a legal ccp should know not to press the issue unless they got a lot of money and the best lawyer in the country..
as for carrying a weapon in one ,done told the deputy at checkin when i done grandjury last couple yrs ,
when he ask if i was carrying any weapons ,

i told him,
"if your talking about guns ,no ,not on me, but these inkpens in my pocket can be just as dangerous a weapon as any guns in the hands of a crooked judge or someone trained in the art of self-defence "

he nodded and said "your right and to go ahead into the juryroom"

lmao,,lack of common sense and henpecked,,

if you think everbody who wants to LEGALLY carry with a ccp dont have enough common sense to to carry responceable then you must not know/forgot about the class you have to take before and the fbi check that takes 2-4 weeks before you get your CCP..

sounds like you been drinking some of MIKE'S HITLER WATER..

i dont have to carry but due to the type of people i used to hang out with in my younger days,,
"its better to have it and not need it ,than need it and not have it"

as for being scared without it ,NOT...

just like in the 12th grade i was 17 and a 11th grader also 17 said he could whip me and he tryed it,,

he had a pingpon paddle,
i just my body parts,
he hit me in the right elbow and my right arm went dead and was numb for a few days afterwards ,
he dislocated my left knee,
i relocated my knee with his chest and when the fight was over ,
an hour later his parents took him to the emergence room ,
they kept him for a day or so,
he didnt come back to school for about 5-6 days and his face was still puffy,,
i didnt miss any school, just ate a lot of asperin for a few weeks till my knee healed and the feelings came back into my right arm a few days later,,

moral of the story is :
dont get into anybodys face even if he looks like a tall skinny weakling like i looked like back then,,
you may grab ahold of more than you want and wish you had just been shot instead of what you got,,

my motto is everbodys my friend untill they get stupid and then they get what they throw...

have a good day friends

I guess since chc likes to be exact, there were 8 casualties in DS for the marines, 44 in all.

could be they was sniffing too much ink fumes off them new sand colored camo cloths instead of getting them wet and muddy and getting the excess chemical residue washed off ..

my one buddy is a few yrs older and went to nam,,he came back with no hearing in one ear and only half in the other,,he dont talk about it unless he has been drinking and he wont go into the woods when he has been drinking cause of the flashbacks come back too easy ,,,

he's just a little guy and i dont think anyone wants to grab ahold of him cause of a stupid dog game even if hes only carrying a lead strap,,

enjoy the nice weather we're having right now ,,never know
tomorrow we may have 3' of snow ,lol

I read the first couple pages of this, i have a cwp yet i dont carry at an event. was in a hunt yrs back where our dogs were shot at,woulda been nice to have my gun to defend myself if need be. That said, ukc rules or no,i am a firm believer in the right to bear arms and this right is being chipped away everyday on the local, state and national level. If you have a legal cwp permit then you can carry anywhere jmo ps--- pretty sure when the founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment the thought of even having to apply for a permit to carry a weapon would have put them UP IN ARMS!!!

CARRY

Have walked right into a local gas station and grocery while coonhunting to get snacks w/my gun in plain view, get alot of funny looks but unless its a school or fed building perfectly legal. My employer prohibits firearms on the property, including vehicles. If they were to try and fire me for such i would sue because the state says i have the right to do so.

Hey buddy, you just told on yourself. I didn't mind you watching the bullriding but now the mystery of the nose smudges on the window has been solved. Suprised you didn't mention how I got bucked off both, but thanks to a soft mattress and a rodeo clown I still didn't get too scared.
I'm not looking for an argument because I respect your rights and opinions I'm just saying I have participated in UKC events for many years and I always felt like I was playing their game at their house and I had no problem following their rules. If they were playing my game at my house I would expect them to follow house rules. Their rules are made up on the honor system anyway, and if a person can't honor some of the rules why honor any of them. All you have to do is tell them how unfair and unjust they are and stay at home. Problem solved.
I enjoy disscussions as long as they stay friendly, even if a man says he can take me out with a pencil. Don't bother me, as I've been took out with a sharp pencil more than once.

I am with you on this one. It is their house and their rules. Because a person has a CWP does not make them a smart person. There are alot of dumb@sses with a CWP. The last thing I want is to be on a hunt with hot head and his gun as I am not Matt Dillon , so I am not that fast of a quick draw!

UKC. has stated.... as you would know if you had read this entire thread that the intent of the rule was not to prohibit legal concealed carry.

UKC. does not have the authority to make rules that contradict state and federal law. And until you guys who think you have the right to decide who in this country has the right to be armed manage to get the 2nd amendment removed from the constitution, I guess you will have to live with us who choose to be armed.

right nuff said ,,lol

when people think they can go to a hunt act stupid like a little kid and get in someones face and think they are above receiveing their rewards due,,,

they need to wake up,,,it dont matter if the person they get into their face is carrying legal or not carrying at all..

regardless of how serious a person is about the game,,

they dont have the right to get into someones face without expecting repercussings ,,,,

i think thats called unsportsmanlike and if a person thinks haveing rules made so a person legally cant carry so they will feel safer getting into someone's face at a hunt is really dumb thinking,,

if everybody handles everthing like sportsman they wont have to worry about someone going stupid with a gun or a leadstrap...FACTS...

What's the Engle story? I haven't heard that one.

I support the right to carry, but when you submit yourself to a UKC licensed event, you also submit to those rules. The rule not to have a firearm is the rule. Leave it in the truck. I can just see someone getting shot over a call at the tree. There's not dog, hunt, title, call, or anything else worth getting shot over or shooting someone over.

right..

those worryed about getting shot by someone legally carrying ,
must have self control problems and better worry about the ones illegally carrying ..

if you's are worryed about getting shot over a bad call,,
just maybe you need to get someone else to handle your dog for you..

i'd be more worryed about getting hit by a steal lead chain than getting shot if i was missuseing the rules to my advantage...

anybody feeling they are being done wrong just has to put a ? mark on the card and head to the clubhouse.
and if that dont settle the problem ,
you can call ukc on monday and file a complaint

or then ,you can always invite the person to meet you at the local gym for a boxing match if you feel you been wronged that bad...
