Bill we most certainly can go for a hunt somewhere. There is enough hunters around that want to go that is even closer to you. I'd like to see Timber go. Keep me posted.

Maggie last night Chris Baker had is walker dog Speed. First dump had a good track ended in a den tree,

Second dump the blazed a track in and slammed a tree with the meat.
We headed home early night.

Two drops two coons. Dogs did well in working bad tracks and coming treed deep with the meat.
Maggie's lights are shinning bright. She improves every night and a very nice treedog that you can hear a long ways.

Chris Bakers Walker male Speed is doing a nice job. He and Maggie are working very well together for sure.

Maggie is opening a lot more track so that is a plus when it comes to strike points.

Took Maggie alone last night. I got nothing. I have to be patient but for me that is difficult. I've seen her split tree, and hold pressure. I've seen her tree layups with other dogs. but alone right now she is lost.
I hope a few coons crossing the road will change that. Time will tell. She definatley needs to go hunting better to stay here. But I have to remind myself that she has only had 4 coons in three years of hunting and only hunted 15 before I bought her. She has the tools just seeing if I can get the rest out of her is the challenge at this point.

Took Maggie with Terry Estill with Spud a littermate to the Joe dog the won King of hunt in Oklahoma off Thorn x Lace cross

First drop the dogs got through the country and we drove around found them treed by a pond. It was a cirlcle tree. Not sure if coon there or not.
Next drop Spud struck then Maggie the worked down a creek and came upt treed about 500 yards had the meat. Terry wanted to call it a night because Spud has a huge motor and no reverse so who knows where they would have ended up.
I was driving home and decide to take Maggie on a drop alone.
Cut her loose she went 300 yards got struck worked in the woods opening very nice the bang came up treed and had the meat. She just may get her big girl pants yet. I called it a night and went home with a smile on my face. I need to see that out of her. She was at 600 yards when treed with the mask bandit. I think I will run her with Sounder tonight.

We didn't do any good at all last night. Spent some time waitng on Speed. Maggie sat in the dog box. Hmmm

Second drop Speed fell treed 800 yards. Maggie was in a different direction but later covered him only to find a grinner in the tree.
She got a pass on this one but the next one daddy won't be happy at all.

Taking two days or so off for me to hunt over the weekend

Hunted last night. First coond Maggie struck first then Speed. She went the right and Speed hung up by the road. She drive the coon into a dozer pile,

Next drop Speed struck in about 400 yards and Maggie opened twice. Speed went through the section but I believe coon went in.
Was watching dogs on Garmin Maggie was 300 yards South of Speed when Speed treed. She finally made it over to him later but Speed had done the damage. We walked in 900 yards only to get greeted by a very nice smell. Speed seemed to like his new found friend till some electric was intoduced and he didn't like it anymoe.
Maggie had a nice confused looked on her face but she was there so she got a little treatment herself.

Called it a night.

Maggie alone last night. We didn't strike anything. She hunted out about 500 yards but nothing doing. I need more places to hunt other than wildlife areas. Oh well. It was a nice night to be out and about.

Had a four dog cast. Maggie is looking very competitive. I liked what I saw. Had two young dogs running around but we ended up treed .06 miles with the meat. Two dogs treed the other two got to listen from the truck.
Might have to venture to a hunt real soon. Time will tell.

I'm on vacation all next week so I will venture a few places I hope and hunt with some people.

Next 3 months I have a week off each month plus a couple of more days. Man has got to love ETO and I deserve every day off for sure.

I'm trying to find the time when Jr can go and for me the week of Oct15 th works the best at least I'd like come see the mountains and hangout for two days. If know one can go hunting well that is fine as well. Jr has been out here at least twice if not more and I need to drive his direction so time will tell.

Sounder and Magic this month is free stud service. Why. Just not getting anything bred to them and I'd like to see what I already know and that they will reproduce a very nice hound.


So for Sept only no Stud fee. Both males are performance Sires.

All I ask is make sure the litter is performance nominated.

Boys these dogs are nice. They have their good days and bad days just like all the rest but I can tell you they can and will tree coons in any mans country.
